I really wanted to like this helmet, but it failed my expectations. The cushioning inside the helmet is very thin, especially on the forehead, it's itching and leaves marks. But my biggest complain is the main reason I decided to get a smart helmet, the LEDs and they are a disappointment. - LEDs are
very dim. There are no options to regulate their brightness. - There is no headlights on the front only amber turn signal. Cheaper Chinese models have white lights to get noticed at night. - There are no switchable modes for the break lights, like flashing, blinking, or continuously ON. LEDs turn on ONLY when it sense deceleration. This is not enough to be noticed at night by passing traffic. - The turn signal activated the brake lights too and the amber lights are animated like on some modern cars. It's confusing and not very noticeable because the red light overpowers the amber lights and the animation repeats itself like 3 times and then stays off. When I am at a red stop, I want it to blink until I press the remote once again. But this one goes off automatically after 3 blinks and I have to keep pressing the turn signal button. I wish the amber lights would just blink normally when I press the remote and keep blinking until I switch them off. - The helmet goes constantly into standby. This can be disabled in the App but then I have to keep turning the helmet on/off manually every time. Not very smart. I ended up buying a cheap 10 USD Chinese LED break light and glued it to the helmet. This cheap light is much brighter than the helmet's own, and it can blins continuously, it also turns itself on when vibration is detected and turns itself off after few minutes when i am stationary. This is what I've been expecting from a "smart" helmet.
