  • A Fantastic Gaming Monitor for Consoles
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
I purchased this monitor for my PS4 Pro. I know that the Pro can do 4K, but since most games give you the option of 4K or improved visuals/framerates, I figured I’d go with the latter. I have been beyond impressed at what LG is offering for the price. For only $175, you get a very good TN panel with high refresh rates, great response time, and vivid colors. Honestly, the image quality is so good that at times, I forget I’m looking at 1080p. Being VESA mountable at this price point is a plus as well. This panel unfortunately falls down when viewed at an angle like a lot of TN’s do, but when viewed from straight ahead, delivers a gorgeous picture and is silky smooth. It would be nice if it had HDR, but for the price, this monitor can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a quality gaming monitor for your console or PC gaming, this is a solid choice- highly recommended. ... show more

  • Works with gsync perfectly.
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
This monitor mounts easily to a vesa monitor arm. Very easy to set up with gsync and the color calibration is on point. Lots of options for different styles of use in the on screen menu.

  • works good getting hdmi to run at 144hz
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
i am able to get it to run at 144hz over hdmi but it will not go to 1ms on hdmi , i think you need display port cable to get 1ms , the way i got it to run 144hz over hdmi was get all the newest drivers for my gpu or apu , then i turned on freesync on my desktop then i turned it on in my game in the amd menu , then i put the monitor menu in basic freesync and boom it runs at 144hz , but it does not get 1ms over hdmi so not sure , another point i would like to make is that i have only tested this for less than one day , so i will update this as i use it more. for me the screen is big and if it was any bigger it may not fit on my small desk , oh well i hope this info helps someone , i had a few pixels out because it was damaged in shipping but i expected as much but i cant pay 300$ for the same one at wal-mart , or the 90$ 60hz one they had that looked small , this one is big i think , ... show more

  • Color banding is atrocious! Non-fixable
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
(Edit: Changed to 1 star so others hopefully see this!) I ended up refunding this and getting the Dell S2421HGF instead, which is excellent! And cheaper? Absolutely unbearable color banding. If you don't care about that, this monitor is great. I tried fixing it through my 5700XT and the monitor itself as well as Windows but it couldn't get rid of the horrible color banding and inaccuracy. Monitor stand is good, it looks amazing in design as far as aesthetic goes. If all you play is non cinematic gaming this would be okay, such as League of Legends. If LoL is all you play and you don't watch Netflix, this is a great monitor for the under 200 price range, but the price went down and up twice since my purchase. (This has gone from 172 to 210+) Ran with a new displayport cable, tried fixing through monitor, gpu, and a combination. ... show more

  • Apex legends Xbox Player // Mac Mini User Review
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
I had a xfa240 but decided to upgrade(from a xbox perspective) to something that will give me 120 hz. My choices was this, Sceptre E2558B-1658A and Aoc AG241QX. The Aoc was too expensive so it was this or the Sceptra. I chose this one because of a youtube review where a guy said this monitor colors was great looking out the box. I can co sign that statement. This monitor looks beautiful out the box. The only thing i changed was freesync, response time, brightness and i was good to go. This monitor gave me 120 hz on my xbox one x which is what i was looking for. To all the xbox players go head and get you a monitor thats gives 120 hz, its really makes a difference when your playing no matter what the pc geeks say! The crosshairs they provide you are PERFECT. I had a Asus vg245h at one point and couldnt stand their oversized crosshairs but the simple red + sign on this monitor is perfect! The only cons i see about this monitor is you cant save settings, well you can partially. Everytime i turn on my xbox i have to go in settings and enable the crosshair, but what i chose for my freesync and response times stays the same so idk. I wish i could have a user settings option thats keeps everything how i like it. Another con is the port position makes the cables stick out. I had a wall mount that was close to the wall which was fine on the xfa240 but a problem on this monitor. It was a very tight fit for the hdmi cables and impossible for the dvi port. Luckily Microcenter had one with a lil more space from the wall for $10. Also the monitor has no speakers but i knew that before i made the purchase. The creative pebbles is a great addition for $20. Bottom line this was a great purchase for me. I read some reviews from a few years ago where guys said after awhile their monitor screen went all white. Hopefully LG fixed those issues and it doesnt happen to me in the future.....#fingerscrossed ... show more

  • Disappointing picture quality. Not for general use.
Style: 24" TN 1ms Response Time
I bought this plus a Microsoft Surface to replace my wife's old desktop PC. It hasn't worked out because I have found it to be impossible to adjust this monitor's picture to be anywhere near the quality of the Surface's picture. (With the Settings in Windows 10, it is possible to have both monitors on, simultaneously, so, it is easy to compare them side by side). This monitor has many possible adjustments - which may be advantageous for a gaming monitor but it is not for a general purpose one. There are too many combinations of possible adjustments. The blacks are not as black as the Surface's, the whites are not as white, and the colors are not as vibrant, no matter what combination of adjustments one uses. I took the Surface and this monitor to a nearby Microsoft Store hoping that an expert can adjust the monitor better than I can. A MS tech guy spent 20 to 30 minutes trying to adjust the picture. He too was unable to adjust it to be anywhere near the quality of the Surface's picture. He gave up, eventually, with the comment, "I guess this is as good as it gets." Disappointing, and a waste of money. My wife will probably never use this monitor. ... show more
