abunda_amazon_reviews I will update later after pc is built. The Box arrived damaged. The box containing the monitor which was inside the brown box was even more damaged with a hole through it all the way to the screen. I plugged it in to my ps4 and ran Netflix on it for about 2 minutes and did not notice any dead pickles or damage from shipping. The 4 mounting screws that hold the monitor to the mount are missing so as far as the unboxing goes I give this a 2 star. It gets 1 for arriving and one for turning on. This may get more stars later after testing. Update: I got some time in on it. Picture is great and the ability to have custom profiles at the click of a button is awesome. No dead pixels and no visible lines if I’m st least 2’ away from the screen. Great monitor;;Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;People don’t care about your packages;;Some guy;;;This monitor mounts easily to a vesa monitor arm. Lots of options for different styles of use in the on screen menu.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Works with gsync perfectly.;;Damagedan;;;I purchased this monitor for my PS4 Pro. I know that the Pro can do 4K, but since most games give you the option of 4K or improved visuals/framerates, I figured I’d go with the latter. I have been beyond impressed at what LG is offering for the price. For only $175, you get a very good TN panel with high refresh rates, great response time, and vivid colors. Honestly, the image quality is so good that at times, I forget I’m looking at 1080p. Being VESA mountable at this price point is a plus as well. This panel unfortunately falls down when viewed at an angle like a lot of TN’s do, but when viewed from straight ahead, delivers a gorgeous picture and is silky smooth. It would be nice if it had HDR, but for the price, this monitor can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a quality gaming monitor for your console or PC gaming, this is a solid choice- highly recommended.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;A Fantastic Gaming Monitor for Consoles;;John K. The 24gm77 has a better overdrive and a pixel inversion that never caught my eye. Maybe the coating is a bit worse on the 24gm79. The 24gm77 also didn't suffer scanlines at native refresh rate. They have decent specs for your niche multiplayer FPS, but the 24gm77 was a lot cleaner. Still, it doesn't look right having an LED backlight and older Samsung TN panels for comparison. The 24gm79 isn't an enjoyable option. I feel we are in an ugly place with monitors, but my idea would be to ditch LED backlights and offer alternatives leading up to OLED displays. It hasn't worked out because I have found it to be impossible to adjust this monitor's picture to be anywhere near the quality of the Surface's picture. (With the Settings in Windows 10, it is possible to have both monitors on, simultaneously, so, it is easy to compare them side by side). This monitor has many possible adjustments - which may be advantageous for a gaming monitor but it is not for a general purpose one. There are too many combinations of possible adjustments. The blacks are not as black as the Surface's, the whites are not as white, and the colors are not as vibrant, no matter what combination of adjustments one uses. I took the Surface and this monitor to a nearby Microsoft Store hoping that an expert can adjust the monitor better than I can. A MS tech guy spent 20 to 30 minutes trying to adjust the picture. He too was unable to adjust it to be anywhere near the quality of the Surface's picture. He gave up, eventually, with the comment, "I guess this is as good as it gets." Disappointing, and a waste of money. My wife will probably never use this monitor.;;Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2019;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Disappointing picture quality.
