  • Bad Bluetooth, great sound
The sound is great. The Bluetooth sucks. 20 feet away from the source if it is an unobstructed view otherwise it drops the connection. I am keeping for the sound but if you need something you can take say 30 feed away, this is not the one you want.

  • Seems to be a good speaker, but before you submit your order....
Thus far, this speaker seems like it will be fine. It's made well and it was easy to set up. I can't speak for persons who are really trained to hear specific sounds, but it's good for me as an average user just looking to play his Sirius and other online music through his phone. I will update if I find anything changes. I bought this to replace a Bose Soundlink MIni, which I've had for 5 years or more and which started randomly shutting itself off, and which apparently is no longer made. In my case, the speaker stays in one spot in my living room and is used every day. I chose this one largely because it has generally good ratings and its controls and shape are very similar to the previous. A lot of the other speakers are either too big, too ugly, too weird or some combination thereof. I will say it seems most speakers seem generally to get good ratings regardless of their price points. I did consider a $130 JBL, but decided to try this first since I already had one JBL I didn't like and because this one was almost half its price. All that said, before you place your order, consider your needs and what you may or may not have on hand. The Bose came with a proprietary AC adaptor, but with this one I received only an 18" cord with USB and one end and USBC on the other (the side that connects to the speaker). There is no AC adaptor and for me the cord was way too short. My computer doesn't even have a USB port and I don't want my speaker or anything else tethered to it anyway. I had a longer version of the needed cord I'd never used and an unused AC adaptor from an Iphone since I always use an optional higher wattage charger for those. I was disappointed in this and it's the reason it gets 4 not 5 stars. I may have sent it back had I not had those items, or I may have located them and kept it, since the speaker otherwise fills the need well, but would have been disappointed to then have to place another order and wait for something I didn't know I would need. So if you want the speaker, order those items too or make sure you have them if you need them! ... show more

  • My Favorite Speaker, Amazing Sound
I've had this speaker for about a month now. I have been using it everyday. The sound in my opinion is pretty amazing. The vocals on this are so clear even at max volume. The bass on it is great but not the best. I own over 20 Bluetooth speakers and this is for sure my favorite. I have looked all over and found that this is a 16 watt speaker which is crazy because it sounds louder than that to me. I listen to all kinds of music, Country music sounds so good on this speaker because the Vocals are so clear and has just the right amount of bass. I also listen to a lot of Mexican music (Banda and Corridos) and this speaker just makes it sound great. I guess the aptX Audio really does help make the music sound better, just make sure you have a Phone that supports that. Battery for me has been 9 to 10 hours. Overall for the price (I paid 46.99 when it was on sale) makes this the best purchase i made on a Bluetooth speaker so far. ... show more

  • Great sound, Portability is awesome, bluetooth is super easy to pair with
I really like this portable bluetooth speaker, It's pretty amazing. The sound quality and volume for it's size is pretty good also the bluetooth pairing process is dead simple like super simple. I would like the battery to last a bit longer but it depends on if you have the "Enhanced Bass" on and the kind of music you use. However, more testing would be needed. I like this product and would encourage anyone to get it. ... show more

  • GREAT INEXPENSIVE PORTABLE SPEAKER FOR THE BEACH & OUTDOORS!
Just used it for 3 days on vacation in Florida, and this is a great small speaker for the beach! Won't entertain a large party, but great for your personal beach tent! Gets loud enough outside for about a 10-15ft radius with wind, waves and outdoor noise. SOUND QUALITY: I want to preface by saying I'm a musician who likes to "collect" speakers, portable speakers etc. and has an ear for good sound quality. I have a Bose S1, Harmon Kardon Invoke (great living room speaker & sound quality), Bose SoundLink Mini SE, AKG Studio Headphones, Studio Monitors etc. When I first got the LG PK3, I was initially disappointed in the slight boxiness of the sound, much like you get from cheap speakers. But for $50, I figured I would just keep it since it didn't sound too bad. Indoors, the Bose SoundLink Mini has noticably better sound quality and clarity. This will not replace a Bose SoundLink. But where the LG PK3 really shines is in it's outdoor use. Outside on the beach, the 'boxiness' either went away because of the acoustics, or it just wasn't as noticable/didn't matter outside. It was loud enough and had a good sound profile. Didn't sound cheap. Wasn't annoyingly bass booming. Bass boost does help a little to make the music pump a little more outside, but overall it doesn't do too much and not as noticable indoors. BUILD QUALITY: Everything feels pretty solid. Good materials and nice textures and finish. The highlight of this speaker is it's IPX rating. I put it in the sand all day and washed it in the sink. Strong enough to kick around in a beach bag and drop. Nice rubber feet on bottom for stability. Pretty thick and heavy, but still portable. BATTERY: Not a technical test, but I used it at the beach for 3 days straight from around 11am - 4pm basically playing the whole time at 60-70% volume. Battery seems like it retains it's charge pretty well when not in use. CONCLUSION Definitely not an audiophiles speaker, but for $50, it's a great speaker to carry for the park/pool etc. to have music jamming. It seems like they did a really good job of tuning it to be an outdoor portable speaker. ... show more
