abunda_amazon_reviews I've only had this product for a relatively short time. I purchased this to replace a 10-year-old Panasonic plasma TV. Nothing wrong with the Panasonic, I wanted a smart TV with a larger screen. I got it all hooked up, turned it on and immediately started in with the settings. There was very little information in the included paperwork, and virtually the same thing online. Fortunately, my grandson was helping and he ended up having to call LG to answer our questions. BTW LG was very helpful. After getting everything done I brought up a show I had sitting on my dish hopper and was immediately not impressed. The picture seemed to not have any depth to it. The colors were fantastic, but I felt the picture itself was not as sharp as I had expected. In other words, it looked kind of flat. Kind of like watching a video that had been recorded digitally as compared to the celluloid. The screen also seemed to be more reflective. I even considered returning it and going back to my old Panasonic, but I had already promised back to my youngest grandson. So I tweaked the settings as best I could and muddled on. Now that I have had a chance to watch it I am starting to like it even more. I think the problem was I was so used for watching my old Panasonic and became comfortable with it. This is like when you switch cars, or girlfriends, it just doesn't feel the same. But give it time and it works out for the better..... Hopefully. The only major issue, as far as the picture goes, is the brightness setting. I was watching an episode of Elementary the other night and all the interior shots seem to be too dark for my liking, however when I tweaked the brightness setting than the outside shots were too bright. Another issue to get used to. As I've stated before I'm getting more and more acclimated to the new picture and I'm really starting to enjoy it. Probably if I went back to my old Panasonic plasma at this stage I would be disappointed. The magic remote is pretty slick, but it doesn't quite replace all my other gadgets. Mike Blu-ray player still requires its own remote, same for the Roku. However, I can probably eliminate the Roku entirely and use the Blu-ray player strictly for movies. The LG has most of the apps that I use on those two devices, so that's a plus for the convenience. As far as sound goes I gave another grandson my sound bar, as everyone said it wasn't necessary with the superior audio from this TV. I will not attempt to review the audio portion as I very rarely use it because I have the audio streamed to my hearing aids, thus totally bypassing the audio portion. However, I have asked others if the audio was acceptable and they said it was. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, time will tell. The picture looks amazing, the smart remote is very easy to point at the screen and navigate menus using the scroll wheel (not to mention voice control, which works very well), the built-in speakers are actually LOUDER and CLEARER than my Toutronics soundbar, and it includes an app called Channel Plus that has 130+ FREE channels of live internet TV which bodes well when I don't want to sift through Netflix. This was actually my third TV purchase after returning two others. For those interested in my TV shopping experience, read on... My old TV setup included a non-smart TV, a soundbar, and a Roku. I had to juggle three remotes at all times. This led me to "smart TVs" which are controlled with a single remote, have a built-in app store, and are future-proof (works with Alexa, Plex, has WiFi, etc). No cable box, no peripherals like Roku or Fire box. Basically "all-in-one" TV. My first purchase was a Samsung 65-in NU7100, but I returned it after unboxing and realizing the display model at Best Buy included a smart remote w/voice control while the actual PRODUCT only includes a standard TV remote. I also had major issues viewing Plex content on the Samsung. Letdown by Samsung and Best Buy on that one. My second purchase was a Hisense 65-in H9E with AndroidTV and Alexa control, but I returned it after unboxing after realizing it was only a flavor of AndroidTV and instead of the Google Play store it had some knockoff store with limited support called Vewd. I thought, "No biggie, as long as I can control this TV with my Echo I'll keep it." I paired the TV with my Alexa app and Echo dot, and you'll never guess - IT WAS NOT A SMART REMOTE. This was my fault for not being thorough in my research or asking the retail employee to demo the product beforehand. I was looking at tv's for a long time and this is a definite winner. The picture and sound are amazing, and the remote is fun to use. Switched from Samsung and I will never go back. I play Xbox on this TV and so far it's the clearest picture I've ever had, and I've used: 2 different Vizio, 2 different Samsung, and a Sharp.
