  • This experience couldn't have gone better. I highly recommend this product and this seller.
I ordered a pair of these key fobs for our 2005 Chevrolet Impala, we are Prime customers and they were eligible products so I had the new fobs in my mailbox on 12/03/16 before 10:00 AM after ordering on 12/01/16 around lunchtime. The seller included a business card in the package that directed me to their website where I was able to quickly and easily locate the key fob programming instructions for my vehicle. I printed the instructions, which were only 6 steps long, and then sat down in the car to program the new fobs. I am not exaggerating at all when I say it took me less than 5 minutes to program both of these fobs. The instructions provided were completely accurate and so simple that anyone can understand them, regardless of whether or not you are mechanically or technologically inclined, I can honestly tell you I have programmed TV remotes that took FAR more effort than this does. I don't know if it's this easy for every vehicle but if you have an 8th Generation Impala I can't possibly recommend this product more. I was quoted $42.50 for fob programming at our dealership and $40.00 at a local automotive shop, that was the programming alone - the dealership said an OEM fob was going to be upwards of $50 so after tax I could have spent $100 to replace one fob. Instead I now have two brand new & programmed fobs for less than $25. As far as quality, I can see no discernible difference between my OEM fobs and these new ones, they are the same weight and are made out of the same kind of plastic. The only difference I see is that the new fobs have a slight texture whereas my old fobs are very smooth; of course that could be attributed to the fact that my OEM fobs have been in use for 11 years now, they may have started out textured too and have just been worn smooth over the years - I can't honestly say that I remember what they felt like that far back in time. Another nice thing I noticed when ordering is that these fobs come with batteries. CR 2032s are typically about $4 for a pair when I get them at a big box store so when you factor that in, these fobs are even less expensive. I literally couldn't be more pleased with this purchase, I may even order new fobs for our F150 now even though the old ones are still functional - just because I wouldn't mind having news ones where the images and letters aren't rubbed off the fob from use. LOL!!! ... show more

  • Need a locksmith to program
I have bought many replacement key fob remotes over the years and they have always been end user programmable for the vehicle in question so long as you purchased that correct fob for that vehicle. This fob is useless without going to a locksmith for programming which is around $50.00 depending on where you are and seek those services. Had I been aware this device required costly third-party programming, I would not have bought it. The only reason I and giving two stars instead of one is that the company was prompt in addressing my concern and processing the obvious return and refund. ... show more

If this helps please give me vote To match transmitters to your vehicle: 1. Turn the ignition key to ON. 2. Clear any warning messages on the Driver Information Center (DIC) by pressing the RESET button. 3. • Get OEM
Only reason for 1 star is because they do work. First, if your getting new fob for your car get OEM. Don't waste time or money on any other. Fob doesn't work past 1 foot from my car. I bought these because my old fob (non OEM) didn't work in cold whether below 32°. Everything checked out as far as diagnostics goes on my car. New ones also do not work in cold weather. And unfortunate that return window past before it got cold enough to see that these also do not work in cold weather. Not only wasted purchase but old ones had better range than new ones. ... show more

  • Works perfect on a C5 Corvette with 2001-2004 TPMS
I used this company in the past for my dads 2006 Escalade and these key fobs worked great for my 2000 Corvette, which I installed a 2001-2004 TPMS receiver box I found cheap at a junk yard($50) with newer 2001-2004 TPMS sensors bought from RockAuto and these programmed up perfectly and was easy, using the C5 DIC(Digital Interface Computer) in less than 5 minutes. ONLY complaint is what others stated previously: the trunk button does stand up higher than the rest, so I will have to get a cover for the fob to help from accidentally hitting the trunk release button. ... show more

  • Bought a 2 pack - only 1 works
I bought a 2 pack trying to save money instead of buying separately. Finally got around to taking to locksmith today and one of the remotes doesn't work. I missed the return date so now have to purchase another one. Would not recommend buying the 2 pack unless you can get to a locksmith pretty quickly to make sure they both work. ... show more

  • Excellent
Received our package one day early so that was nice. Set up instructions do not come in the package but you are directed to a website that prompts you to enter your vehicle info so you get instructions specific to your vehicle. Once I reviewed the instructions it took around 5 min to program both fobs plus reprogram our old one. They all work perfectly. A local locksmith would have charged $20 to program the fobs. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • GM FOB
After checking to make sure these FOBs were compatible with my car, I find out that I need a dealer or locksmith. Fortunately, these are thicker rubber and the buttons are raised and it puts more pressure within the plastic casing to keep the battery in place in my old FOB and now it works better than ever. Plus I used the casing to make my old beat up FOB look brand new. I’d give this less stars, but I’m happy and the price is really good at $18.79! ... show more
