The humidity is the trickiest part, but I found that if you keep the supplied bottle full and squirt an ounce or two in at a time and wait for it to stabilize it's pretty easy to keep it in range. I set the lower humidity alarm limit down to 42 from the factory setting because you want to maintain 50% or so for the first 18 days and I found it easier to maintain that range without having the alarm going off at 3 am. I found that the incubation time was somewhat dependant on when the eggs were laid, mine hatched in 3 distinct batches over about 30 hours. I also found it best to unplug the egg turner when they started to hatch and remove the chicks as soon as practical so they don't get tangled in the egg holders. Overall, it was pretty foolproof, I candled a couple of the eggs on day 8 but being brown it was kind of hard to see anything other than the air sack and that looked good so I just went with it, candling really isn't necessary. A responsible child could easily handle the process with parental supervision.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Just put in the chicken seeds and 21 days later they hatch!;;John;;;I bought the previous style of incubator in this listing.
