The media could not be loaded. This is a great tablet. Here are my top five reasons. 1. Mag connect makes the board run off of the tablet so no need to charge both the tablet and the keyboard. I have had others and both had to be charged separately. 2. Mag connect allows for easy separation from the keyboard for stand alone tablet use. This is super helpful for how I use my tablet. I do estimates for work on my tablet using a note app. So i can pul the tablet off and go with just the tablet. Take my measurements and pictures and then jump in the truck and reconnect and work from a keyboard for reports, emails and estimates. It’s exactly what I need for the way I work 3. Ports, ports, ports. We all know one of our big limitations with IPads is porting. This adds USB2, an audio jack (pull out those old headphones from the drawer), and USBC. 4. Great design features. The cut outs are clean. The wired connection from the case to the tablet are clean, subtle and tuck away just right. The camera notch is just right. The keyboard is rigid. I have had others that were flimsy and when you type the whole board flexes. The backlight is adjustable in color and in intensity. Lastly the thickness is just right for me. Overall its about as thick as carrying two IPads. Which for a keyboard case is what I would expect. 5. Protection. I have accidentally dropped my tablet twice while it was disconnected from the keyboard and on both occasions it did exactly what you hope. No cracks or damage. ... show more

Case works perfectly for my needs. Provides protection all around, keyboard with decent travel on the keys, and the ability to remove the top half of the case if I want to use just the iPad without the keyboard is a nice touch as well. You are able to change the backlight's color (I think 6-7 different colors). The iPad does not have to use Bluetooth to connect to keyboard so no need to worry about connecting it every time you turn it on. The addition of the power switch on the back ensures that the keyboard does not drain power while not in use! All around would recommend. ... show more

I really wanted to love this keyboard case! However, it had issues literally right out of the box. Although the case itself is very sturdy and converts your iPad into its own powerful little laptop, the keyboard connectivity (or lack thereof) is infuriating. I purchased this case at a greater expense than most other backlit keyboard cases available because it claims to be fully “plug and play” without any Bluetooth latency in connection. That is not the case for the product I personally received, at least. First, the Good: As I said, the case is rugged. It feels protective, but still sleek. Although it looks a little more gunpowder gray in the pictures, my unit is fully matte black. I love that the case has USB-A and USB-C ports built right in. I added a Bluetooth mouse and it works beautifully, and the case also allows use of external memory through its ports which makes transferring files between machines very quick and efficient. Additionally, the HDMI and 3.5 audio jack are nice additions too, and the rubberized footpads under the case are great and keep your iPad in place while you work. Now the Infuriating: From the moment I slipped the iPad in and attached the built-in cable (which is bulkier and less attractive than I had hoped), then magnetically connected the pins between both halves of the case, the product did not work. Yes, the blue “connection” icon popped up on the iPad screen, and yes, the “On” switch was turned on, but the keyboard itself did not respond nor react to physical contact with the keys. I had to detach then reattach the cable, as well as turn the switch off then on, and then disconnect the pins and reconnect them between both halves before the backlight finally turned on and the keyboard began to type. And then, as the week went on, the problem kept happening. Right in the middle of a sentence, the connection would drop and I would realize that my keystrokes were doing nothing. Sometimes the light would turn off in conjunction with a lack of response from the keyboard, but other times the keyboard would stay lit and the keystrokes would not produce anything on screen. On the instances when the light would stay on, the brightness and color change keys would do nothing despite the backlight being on. I would have to try the three methods of “correction” (disconnect/reconnect cable, turn switch off/on, remove top half and reattach) before the problem would be “fixed”, but then, it would happen again. And again. And again. In one hour of using the keyboard on the second day of having it, I lost connection 19 times while working on a written project. 19 times in one hour. 19 times that I had to stop what I was doing and lose my train of thought while typing to reconnect the case. Battery power of the iPad had no impact as the keyboard runs on the iPads battery and the iPad was at 90% when the trouble started. Again, for the price, I really wanted to get behind this expensive case to help power up an already pricey iPad investment. I figured the hybrid between keyboard and hub would be worth the price, but so far I have had so much issue with the keyboard component that I’m not even sure I how I could positively defend the product. Hopefully this is a defective unit, although I did read at least two other reviews that seem to have similar issues. I’ve ordered a replacement and will follow up once I use it. ... show more

On the surface, this case has it all. HDMI port, USB port, detachable keyboard, great size, sturdy case, backlit keyboard, and the price is super reasonable. One quirk is that it won't charge when the "power switch" is off. I can't count how many times I've plugged my iPad in and it hasn't charged. This is a pretty dumb design. However, and this is why it's getting one star, it just doesn't work. It loses connection to the iPad constantly. If I was typing this review on the device, it would have lost connection at least three times already. It just stops typing completely. Switching it on and off sometimes works, undocking the keyboard sometimes works, unplugging and re-plugging in the USB-C to the iPad sometimes works. And...sometimes nothing works. I've had experiences where it works for days, and then sometimes I can't get it to work at all. And...this is on a replacement one. The first one I got had the same issues. ... show more
