    • Great Cooler
Great great cooler! I reviewed many coolers before purchasing this one. I did not want to spend a fortune on a cooler because we use them a lot and are pretty hard on them. I had a 4th of July party and needed a much larger one than I have so I purchased this one. About an hour before the party I filled this cooler with ice and drinks (adult beverages and water as well as soda). I put in 2 bags of ice. Guest helped themselves to the drinks - opening and closing the cooler all day and into the night. I replenished the drinks but the ice stayed perfect and barely melted. Unfortunately the day after the party my electric went out and the power company was working on it for 20 hours. We were without refrigeration so I moved my leftovers and perishable food to the cooler and added the ice that was in my ice maker from my freezer (not a lot). Once our power came on and we had our refrigerator up and running I cleaned out the cooler. I was shocked that there was still hard ice (and some ice water) in the cooler. It was about 3 days and the original ice (purchased) was still there. I would highly recommend this cooler. I keep it in my storage space and will use it very often. ... show more

    • Good all around, but...
Great product all around! The only reason why I give it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the lid opens very easily. Might want to get some latches for the lid if you don't want it opening if accidentally tipped over. I like to bring my ice chest on the river with me and a lot of the time the waves and rapids knock it over and out pours all its contents. Very frustrating, so if you're in my position, I strongly recommend buying latches for this cooler as well. ... show more

If the cooler stayed closed and inside the car, in 40F weather, it kept ice for 3 days. When I refreshed the ice and brought it out of the car, keeping it closed, 2 days. Holds enough for one person on a five day camping trip. I wish the spout was a little lower - to make drainage easier, but it is what it is and requires to be tipped over from the top instead. It would also be better if the wheels didn't interfere with the inside of the cooler, leaving less available room. This is a design flaw though, and not a reflection on the Amazon transaction. We went on 3 day camping trip we had an old igloo, a yeti and this new black and red igloo. After 1 day the old igloo the ice was all melted by the morning. The yeti & new igloo still had ice but the igloo held way more then the Yeti! Our friends had ozark cooler and all their ice melted in one day, so they ask to put their stuff in our cooler. I was able to fit all our stuff and their stuff in new igloo still had room, the yeti could only hold few drinks. By the third day the New igloo STILL had ice were all the other cooler had melted even the Yeti! I bought the igloo as a cheap back up cooler for drink to our yeti(because yeti so small!) I was so impressed with this igloo on how long the ice stayed, I’ll never buy over price yeti ever again! ... show more

I like the new lower profile and the slight wider and longer lines. I purchased 2 about 6 years ago. Blue with white tops. They held up after year of use. However the tops were unattractive. This one is more expensive but will worth is. It's has several little updates like a place to rest electronics. Wider an more sturdy wheels, handles and handles. Decent cooler. According to the description, this was the same size cooler that I previously owned, 60 QT. But when I removed it from the box it just seemed smaller. Same volume, but smaller means that they've sacrificed insulation and that is the problem here. The cooler I received will NOT keep ice for several days as the description mentions. Ice has to be added, at least, daily...more often if the weather is hot or you are adding to room-temp drinks and food. I really like the upgrade on the wheels...much better on gravel and rough terrain. Handles are a little shallow, but acceptable. 2.5 Stars ... show more

Great capacity, and surprisingly well insulated - ice stays solid for hours. Reasonably sturdy, but first one arrived with a bent axle, was quickly replaced through Amazon. Lid pops off fairly easily, simple plastic pin and socket hinges. Does exactly what I needed, keeping group snacks and meals hot or cold. ... show more

I packed food for a three day trip. I mean ALL of my food! This held everything I needed, plus the ice. I did have hotels with mini fridges so I unloaded some of the food each night and added fresh ice before leaving the next day. It is easy to move because of the design, good wheels and nice handle. It didn't really look obviously like a cooler, which was another thing I appreciated about it. ... show more
