abunda_amazon_reviews This product is very cheaply made and looks that way. After a month of light use it looks terrible. The fibers work their way out and it looks like a fuzzy mess. There is no more of the original texture left. I would never recommend this product. I e-mailed the company to tell them how unhappy I was with the product. They asked me to send pictures and determined it was normal wear and tear! That alone speaks volumes about it. If this is “normal wear and tear” after a month that’s a shame. Don’t bother. So back to the drawing board. 08/05/19 update Have you ever had one of those exhilarating midlife victory laughs where you realize every prior decision you’ve made (some still good and some you’d probably take back) that tries to undo your current day efforts to keep a clean environment is FAILING (2 white and grey short hair dogs, a husband and stepdaughter)? Muahahahahahaaaa! This rug is the s&@$. I’ve put one at every entrance to our home and I’m going to be putting one in every hallway soon. These rugs have had high traffic and aggressive vacuuming with a Dyson Animal (get one) at least twice a week. They still look great! Handle the workload like nobody’s business and they don’t move/slip/fold around ANYWHERE-no matter how hell bent my 2 dogs are on burning out when it’s playtime. I internally cackle the most cynical yet joyous cackle every time a new variable-person, animal, object comes against these rugs and FAILS to uproot my carefully laid strategy. It’s like making everything that comes through my doors walk a 20ft plank to cleanliness before entering the inner circle of house (evil laugh). It catches and grips hair but vacuums up like a dream (sometimes short vacuuming strokes work better for heavier jobs). Happy woman. Thank you. We needed a long runner to go through our kitchen so our dog with knee problems wouldn't slip and slide on the tile. It is a thin rug but very heavy duty. It has a non-slip back so I didn't need to buy a non-slip liner to go beneath it. I was able to cut it with fabric scissors because it had to go through a doorway and needed a bit cut out of the side of the rug. It hasn't moved one inch since I placed it down and its been helping my dog a lot. I bought this to use for my dogs when they run out the back door so they don't scratch up the deck. Used it a few days before the rain (and snow) started for the season. It's a heavyweight runner and is the length I wanted which was difficult to find. I'll be cutting it shorter in the spring when I replace the stairs on my deck and wanted something that I can tack down and pull up seasonally when the weather gets cold/rainy again. My plan is to use upholstery nails to hold the runner in place on the deck when it is warm enough to use it again and then just pull it up accordingly. This is not a soft, mushy carpet runner. It has a rather industrial or "commercial quality" feel to it. It holds well to wood floors with no sliding or shifting and the ends lay flat with no curling corners. It even stands up to crazy running dog traffic with no signs of wear.
