1.0 out of 5 stars | Do not purchase! Not as Advertised, Sensors not calibrated accurately, Temp is in Centigrade
Color: Black/Black Strap
I have owned 4 of the Huawei GT 2018 watches, all 4 had different GT numbers I have had GT 564, GT 493, GT E6B, GT 6F4, they are all FTN B19's, The Techs refuse to tell me the latest GT hardware version. All four have had the same problems, if I hike 9 miles the watch states I hiked 2.9 miles, how could a device with 3 GPS systems be so far out of calibration? The Fitbit which uses Algorithms is much more accurate. I use two other GPS devices on my hikes that match what the State Maps say the distance is but the GT states about 30% of the actual distance. I have upgraded the firmware 5 times with no improvements, the last update Ver 188.8.131.52 killed the ability to keep the pulse screen on top, it now keeps the pulse screen lite up a few seconds then goes dark and when I raise my arm it has switched to a regular watch time screen. This was not a problem in the prior 4 firmware versions. I do not have the 5 minute setting checked. My VO2Max has been at 31% on all four of these GT watches and seems to be stuck at 31% no matter if I am setting or hiking or on a treadmill. 05/02/2019 I started an indoor run and did 4.5 miles and the watch stated 2.04 miles but would not allow me to set the actual distance to 4.5 miles. The only thing that I found that is even close to being accurate is the pulse monitor but with the latest firmware version the watch is useless as I need the pulse screen to always be there when I raise my arm but with the latest version it is only there a few seconds then when I raise my arm I get the time screen. I have called Tech support and messaged Tech support many times. All they say is to reset the watch and uninstall the Health app and then pair them again, These are brand new watches and they have to be reset time and time again but this does nothing to fix the 4 GT watches I have owned, this one is going back as bad just like the other three, I would have thought that the Chinese would have done a better job of calibrating the GT watch, how does Garmin, Samsung and the other brands work correctly and the Huawei GT is useless junk? I do not advice any one to purchase the Huawei 2018 GT Watch as You will be disappointed if you use it for tracking miles while hiking or indoor runs, The Tech support was in Mexico and I was on the phone with him for 65 minutes with zero help, Also the Temperature is in Centigrade and cannot be changed to Fahrenheit and the watch has been sold in America for 6 months, I told Huawei that in the USA we use Fahrenheit but that was ignored just like all the rest of the problems I have found with the GT, and I have only mentioned the ones that are important to me, there is also no way to reset a workout if you move to a different type of machine as it just accumulates the data for all day long, nothing in the manual provides any instructions how to operated the Health app or the watch. Several more of there executives need to be arrested for fraud! Today 05/03/2019 I reset the watch and it did not take the watch back to the Factory settings as the Firmware version 184.108.40.206 is still in the watch, this means the GT Watch has now changed it original advertised characteristics which was one of the major reason I purchased the GT. I need the pulse to always be there when I raise my arm! Factory support please do not respond to contact you as I have already tried that many times thru Emails with Marvin Robertson and the Telephone in Mexico and the Chinese Factory Website, I received ZERO support and no help in solving the GT’s many problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Premium Fitness Device
Color: Black/Black Strap
The first thing you need to know about this watch- think of it as a premium fitness tracker with a small number of smart watch features. That’s really the only basis for an honest review or comparison of the device. Here’s what it does extremely well: 14 day battery life is real, and this is with continuous heart rate tracking enabled. The heart rate and sleep tracking are fantastic, easily as good as any competing device. GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO is fast and accurate. The watch supports swimming, and has a ton of advanced training metrics from Firstbeat- VO2 Max, Training Effect: Aerobic, Training Load, Training Status, Recovery Time Advisor, Personalized Training Plan: Running, Calories Burned, Race Time Predictor, and Real-Time Coaching. Why these features aren’t headlined by Huawei? I have no idea, but in the 15 or so professional reviews I’ve seen online, they aren’t even mentioned. Many reviewers are clearly out of their depth, as they ignore these features usually only found on Garmin products at 2-3 times the price of this watch, and instead try to compare this watch to ones like the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Huawei’s marketing has caused many professional reviewers to think of this as a rather dumb smart watch, and not as the ultra-premium fitness tracker it really is. Be warned- this is not a WearOS device. You won’t make or take phone calls with it, you won’t download music or apps of any kind, and you’ll be limited to the dozen stock watch faces already on the device. If you want a full-featured smartwatch you would do well to look elsewhere. If you want a primarily fitness-driven device with premium features and materials this deserves a serious look.

4.0 out of 5 stars | Battery Life Is What Mattered to Me
Color: Black/Black Strap
Battery life is why I bought this watch. I only need to charge it once a week (or longer than a week). The charging is also fast. One thing to note is you may want to connect Bluetooth once in a while to get the 14 days. Needless to say, the battery won't last 14 days if you use GPS. Other advantages: - Good sleep feedback (more in depth details in phone app) - Good heart monitoring feedback - Seems that battery will last 14 days with heart monitoring on all the time. - Good selection of workout modes and the 'other' mode is useful for anything else. - Waterproof - Simple and easy to learn user interface - Good feedback on calories and steps - Good selection of sharp looking watch faces - Although not ideal, thier implementation of VO2 Max can be used. - Phone app is OK. - Pairing is simple but pairing and unpairing can be made simpler. Synching without needing to manually pair and unpair would be nice. - The two options for waking up the watch are good to have. - Good feedback on exercises Other features and applications such as NFC payment, music, etc., I don't care about. If I want to use these, my phone would be sufficient.
