I love this little heater. You have to be a little creative. I had to buy a reflector for the top because the heat has to come out the front not the top.I’m going to cut down the trim piece so it won’t be a hole there. Overall very happy . Good heat and great ambiance. Looks nice !

So I purchased this fireplace, it arrived, and there was an issue. I was kinda sad cos we were having people over that weekend and i really wanted my house finished. My only option amazon was giving was refund, but i really wanted the fireplace so I wrote to customer service at 11pm at night to see if we could work something out, they responded within 10 minutes, saying they had issues a replacement! My perfectly working replacement arrived with in 30 hours of me contacting them, with plenty of time to spare before I needed it for the weekend. Order with them, you won’t regret it. It is easy to assemble. The fire looks fake, but that is not really an issue for me. I bought it to replace a fireplace in a room that is a bit drafty. The 1500 W worked at first but wouldn't the day after I assembled it. The 750 W works ok but doesn't give off the heat my older electric fireplace did. I have to think I received a malfunctioning one, so I have contacted the company to replace. Update: the company did offer me a partial rebate, which I accepted. I was able to get the 1500 W working with the remote but the button on top still won't engage. ... show more

The room I have this in is around 150 sq ft. After running it for awhile and walking into the room I can feel it isn't much warmer than the rest of the house. I used an infrared thermometer and by the unit it was reading a nice warm temperature, but just a few feet away from the unit it was much cooler. After about another half hour the room was a couple of degrees warmer than when it was first turned on, but never really got higher than that. It's a neat looking fireplace and I mounted it at the suggested height but I'm not that impressed with the heat it gives off. ... show more

It looks great and I like the adjustable flame colors. So when it is not used for heating I use some of the non-flame colors. Others in the house like the option to change the flame colors as well. It puts out adequate heat for my large room (15 X 20), if I start it at the max setting it will warm the area around 10 feet in front of the heater in about 30 minutes then I set it to the lower heat setting to maintain the temperature. There is a thermometer about 18 ft from this heater and I notice it will raise the temperature by 2-3 degrees which is enough to take the chill off and keep the main furnace set lower. This heater is rated for 1500 watts max output which is probably more suited to a smaller room. But it works well enough for my needs. ... show more

The first fireplace I received did not work properly. I was sent a replacement and this one works beautifully. The flames are awesome, the heat is wonderful, and the sound is quiet. I am very pleased and I would highly recommend this Homcom Fireplace to anyone looking for a small heater with beautiful flames of color to choose from. I would also like to add that the seller, Aosom Direct, was AMAZING. They kept in touch with me and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my fireplace.
