  • Possibly the best drone for kids under 14, with supervision!
I am an adult, and I own 8 "kid's" drones. As you can see in the picture I also have a DJI Mavic, and a couple of Holy Stone gps drones. Why so many? After buying my DJI drone and studying for my drone license, I found that where I live there are 3 airports whose airspace overlap above me. One private, one public, and one international. It's a 45 minute drive to an appropriate boring place to fly, and hours to some interesting legal spots to fly. So I fly indoors a lot to practice my skills. I have 3 mini drones that fit into their controllers like this one. The other two are the Holy Stone HS190, love it, not for < 14 year Olds, and the third can't recommend so will not mention it by name but it is the only one of the 3 with a camera. Normally I would say drones that fit into their controllers are just a novelty. The HS190 is great, it's downside is the built-in battery, it's quick and flies very well, good for older kids. This drone is so stable I was absolutely amazed the first time I flew it. Probably the most stable drone I have. This is of course indoors, never fly any drones this small outside, ever. This drone hovers in the air as if it was hanging from the ceiling. Even the air conditioning cycling on and off have minimal impact on this drone. I can't say that about any of my other kid's type small drones. For just fun flying around the room, developing eye hand coordination and learning basics of drone flight unbelievable! Again for younger kids, if you want something faster with a camera the HS420 might be better. If you want easy to fly, stable, and 3 batteries you can fly this drone all day, just let it sit for 10 minutes or so when changing batteries to allow the motors to cool. Would I buy it again, even as an adult I would if only to fly around my hotel room when traveling! ... show more

  • I set the little guy free...
It lives in the forest now. After flying it well beyond the recommended range, for like the 50th time, on a wide day, the little fella was probably fearful at about 500 ft in the air, I could barely see it as a dot, then I noticed him drifting past some tree tops and we reached desperately for each other. But he just couldn't muster the strength against 15 mph winds and well... he lives in the forest now. Maybe he has a new family of chipmunks, maybe he got picked up by a bald eagle and tells the little ones bedtime stories of being in an alien world watching a fat man eat cake. Maybe he's rusting at the bottom of the hill that im too lazy to bushwack down to search for his little red butt... either way. $20 I'm sure I got out of him... ... show more

  • The perfect rainy day flyer.
The media could not be loaded. Holyton HT02 Mini Drone - is the perfect indoor/rainy day flyer. First off let me say this an awesome little mini drone. I've had it for about 4 weeks now and love it. Haven't had any issues or problems with it. I've even crashed it a few times going really fast inside trying to practice corner taking and tight areas. Even knocked the battery out once...i just recalibrated it and off it went. Now I'm not saying go out there and run it full speed into a wall until it starts to mess up and then complain, but hopefully you catch my drift 😉. Moving on.... The HT02 responds VERY well and quickly, especially when you have the speed on high. The controller fits nicely in your hands and seem to be very ergonomically friendly. The thumb controls are perfect and have the perfect amount of tension in them allowing you to control your mini quadcopter very accurately. STAY INDOORS! Please don't go outside unless you are an experienced drone/quadcopter pilot. If you go outside and the wind takes it off into the wild blue yonder, don't come on here giving it a one-star review because you can't control the drone/quadcopter. I see this quite too often, where a person buys one of these little drones and is a first-time flyer and they take them outside to fly and either one or two things happen, they let it go past the recommended range from the controller or the wind takes control of it and they don't have enough experience to fly it back to them and then it's lost. So just to make themselves feel better they come back here and give it a one-star review based upon their own negligence. This drone/quadcopter does not have a power switch. To turn it on, plug in the battery. I found it easier to plug in the battery first and then slide it into the cradle. This drone comes loaded with three batteries and two chargers. That's a great value for your money. HELPFUL TIP: Always let your batteries naturally cool down after each use. I know that we are all very eager to charge back up and get back in the air. But please be patient and wait, your battery's life depends on it. ... show more

  • Nice piece but overly complicated
This works and is a cute small baby drone. It’ll make a cute gift. The plug into the battery is complicated instructions and two of the batteries came opened. I mean opened battery with the plastic encasing opened and tinfoil sticking out. There are way too many guidelines about the batteries which make me nervous that they will explode if they are not pampered . There’s also instruction of how exactly to put the batteries into the charger by looking at the triangle icon on the charger tip which my charger doesn’t have. So took some time to figure but once it’s up and running it runs. Maybe I’ll update on how long it lasts if it’s not too long. Great that it comes with 3 batteries. One of the reasons I chose this ones ... show more
