abunda_amazon_reviews Okay... I've had the drone for a few weeks now and I am ready to review. This is going to be a long one so stop reading now if you are not interested. or have a life... :) Sure, I chose this drone because of the features and low price to some extent but most of all; the great things said about their support! I have found this to be true. Use the email ca@holystone.com. The other did not work well. The drone is incredibly stable. It flies like a dream. Beware of mild to strong winds outside as the drone is not all that heavy or powerful. Be ready on the speed switch in case you need that extra burst of power! I did have problems! I had a few motor failures (some my fault). I contacted Holy Stone and replacement was handled straight away without leaving me with a feeling that I did anything wrong and they were doing me a favor. GREAT customer support! (As others have noted). I replaced the motors myself. They directed me to a video on you tube and after that, I authored a motor replacement guide in PDF format. I am sure they would share that with you if needed. Just ask for Fanny, she knows of the document. The video is nice! Albeit the live stream lags a little and is a bit choppy. I would not recommend relying on this to fly the drone sight unseen. Best to keep it in your sight. I uploaded a short clip for demo. Recorded inside with normal ceilings and I still managed NOT to hit my wife's good glass decorations or wake the cat. Would I buy this or another drone from Holy Stone. Yes, definitely! The support is what matters to me most. Without that it would be a motor-burnt pile of black plastic and propellers, suitable for making a really weird looking planter with cool lighting... Cheers! Jim;;Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great product, gerat support!;;Jim P;;;First, a few caveats: I have competed at amateur level with RC cars using professional grade equipment. All RC devices have certain limitations due to the real world physics and common sense. Real helicopters have a means of active descent where the propeller pushes the aircraft down. This drone does not. It relies on gravity to descend. In strong wind, this drone will not descend. I understand the difference between a toy and a sophisticated RC device. Reading instructions for ANY complex electronic device is very important. Now for the review: It is very deserving of 5 stars. This is a great toy. It is a great starter drone for the novice remote control young person or adult. I bought this drone for my son as a Christmas present. Both of us have enjoyed flying it, and watching each other fly it. It was a little smaller than I expected. I provided a picture with a gallon milk jug for you. I insisted my son read the directions, particularly pages 3-9, 14 (the english sections). Key points are: Batteries need to cool before recharging. We started with 2 batteries that came with the drone, and purchased 2 more at the same time. Charge time is around 100 minutes. Flight time is advertised 7-8min. We experience 7--10.5minutes depending on how much time we spend landing/taking off. Motors require 10 minutes cool-down time between flights (according to the instructions). We have used a stopwatch on our IPhone to help us keep track of time. Wind is very bad. Do not fly in wind. Our experience has been >5mph and/or gusts are to be AVOIDED. Drone trim instructions are hidden on page 4. My daughter pointed them out to me. Range is 100 meters (according to the instructions). Our experience: We configure the gyro every flight. We spent several flights indoors. First, just taking off/landing. We graduated to moving around the front room, down the hall, up stairs, etc…. First flight outside was in >5mph wind. We did not take the drone over 5’. Fighting the wind was the primary focus. While able to nose down into the wind, we imagined how the wind could take the drone. Hitting the corner of the wall in between the propeller guards produce a very disturbing crunch. However, we have not had any damage. Tumbling off the side of a landing pad coffee table looks bad, but there has been no damage. Concerned about range, we paced off 100 meters down the street. I carried the drone while my son turned the motors on/off about every 15 seconds. Control was intermittent at about 80 meters. Communication was completely lost at about 130 meters. On calm days, the rate of descent is very slow. I have a little bit of anxiety not being able to just drop out of the sky. However, the rate is such that it will not crash unless it loses power completely. When the drone is nearly out of power, the running lights flash. When the drone determines it is out of battery power, it descends on its own. Be certain the drone is near a landing area when nearly out of power. I like this drone. I might get one for myself. After we become proficient with this drone, we are planning to share cost for upgrading to a professional grade drone. Statement concerning bad reviews: I was concerned about some of the bad reviews. I bought this drone anyways. I have decided that those reviewers either did not read and/or follow the instructions, are not aware of limitations of sophisticated electronic RC toys, do not understand that breakage will occur, or are not yet skilled in operating RC equipment.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;I really like this drone. My review has good and bad points.;;A. Cooprider;;;Up front let me say that I am a novice and just getting into this. That could influence some of this. Overall I think it is a good flying toy and probably not a bad value. My biggest gripe is that it drifts a lot, even indoors with out the air conditioning running. I find that I must trim it up a lot right off the bat and that doesn't keep it stable for entire flight. Even though screws are really, really small, they went in fairly easy. Just pre-thread into landing gear and guards before attaching and it works well. Plugs and cables are also small and could be difficult for many to work with. Probably not avoidable. With a little effort it seems that replacing the battery could be easier and less prone to damaging the wiring. It isn't terrible just seems like it could be better. The clipping mechanism for the camera is not the best. if you bang into something it may become dislodged but the cabling should keep it attached but almost impossible to fly. I would consider redesigning it so that the WiFi and camera were not coupled together, maybe not practical but would be nice. It seems pretty safe for a novice like me. I really liked that and was part of the reason I went with this model. I would have happily spent more money on a different product but the idea of high speed steel rotors while I was learning scared me a bit. I liked that I could fly it indoors without too much concern. I would of course have the propeller guards attached if you do that. It handled the inevitable crashes really well and I am not too concerned about destroying it while I am still trying to learn how to control it. I tried the flips and they were actually quite impressive. As others have mentioned, lots of batteries are a must but once you have them charged you should be good to go for a fun evening. Again, too bad it is not a little easier changing the battery but I am sure it is much better than other options. Don't know for sure since this is my first venture into this kind of distraction. It got easier as I did it a few times but I still feel like it could be easier. Would be OK for younger kids if not for the delicate parts. I am concerned I will damage the parts and suspect a younger child would be even more frustrated and probably destroy the battery and camera harnesses quickly. Of course with supervision they can have fun flying and you can take care of those details. They may still find the drift and constant need to retrim a bit aggravating since I know it is for me. I am not impressed with FPV and the camera. It really didn't do it for me and have disconnected the camera and find it just as fun and easier to work with. I did try flying it outside today and it wasn't really windy but any breeze combined with the natural drift of the product made it quite difficult and meant there was a lot of compensating actions all the time. I didn't find that much fun. In conclusion, not a bad product and probably a good one to start on. I think many people like myself will outgrow it pretty quickly.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;I like it but think I will be getting something else soon;;Daniel

I have decided that those reviewers either did not read and/or follow the instructions, are not aware of limitations of sophisticated electronic RC toys, do not understand that breakage will occur, or are not yet skilled in operating RC equipment.

I like it but think I will be getting something else soon
Up front let me say that I am a novice and just getting into this. I think many people like myself will outgrow it pretty quickly.
