abunda_amazon_reviews Best Buy has this same exact unit for $1449. HIDevolution is selling this for $1599. That's a $150 markup simply from reselling the device. They say they will open up the device and change the factory-applied thermal paste (why would you do this, the factory one is made for longevity and works great as it is), and also claim it will *not* void the ASUS warranty. Guess what, I wrote to ASUS and they said any third-party modifications including changing the thermal compound will void the warranty and is not approved! Another great reason NOT to purchase an overpriced, third-party modified unit is that the thermal seal will be broken- ASUS is using a thermal glue-like compound to cool the VRMs and the GPU memory chips. I don't know if HIDevolution will change these out for thermal pads, but the whole process is completely unnecessary given the already great stock temperatures of the CPU and GPU. Save your money and wait for Best Buy to have these in stock.
