abunda_amazon_reviews I bought the F428 stack with the intention of trying to build a mostly 3d printed quad. The first one I got had an issue with the USB port not wanting to stay mounted when plugged into the computer. I contacted HGLRC and they offered to send a replacement which arrived 2 days later. The replacement functions exactly as promised, and I commend the vendor for standing behind their product. Thank you. The stack is tiny with 20mm x 20mm mounting holes, but still delivers plenty of power and stays relatively cool. It included enough standoffs and hardware to mount solidly, and I didn't have issues fitting into the 3d printed Peon230 frame. I did however get tired of having to reprint arms for that frame after minor crashes, so I moved it over to a QAV210 frame (pictured). I have to mount it onto a 30.5mm to 20mm 3d printed adapter place, but even with this plate, it fit without issue. Configuring the board through betaflight works just as it would with any other FC, with all the usual bells and whistles. Updating the firmware is easy enough too. That said, I did run into a few minor challenges that I'd like to share, hopefully helping someone else along the way. The first of which is that the battery input pads are tiny... REALLY tiny! When coupled with a 4x28A ESC, you need to be able to use fairly thick wire for your battery connector. You can fit thick wire onto the pads, but it's a tight fit. In the process of assembling the first quad and then moving everything over to the other I did have one wire pull off the pad, and take the pad with it. Luckily there are pads on both sides of the board and I was able to reattach the wire on the underside. A friend recommended putting a bit of hot glue over the wire and pad after soldering to help reduce the chance of pulling a wire loose by accident. As you can see in the photo, it may look a bit messy, but doing this makes your solder joint a LOT stronger. I don't know if HGLRC reads through these, but if so I have one recommendation to improve this product significantly. For the battery leads, instead of using flat pads maybe use half circle ones so that the wires can be soldered vertically (see 3rd picture of iflight stack for reference). These are easier to work with, less likely to have a pad pulled off. The other minor issue I ran into was in trying to get an ibus receiver to work with this (FS-ia6B, FS-X6b, FS-x8b). The documentation shows you connect it to the DMX port on top just like you would an S-BUS receiver (see 4th pic). I couldn't get this to work, and from what I found online, it's because this input is inverted for s-bus. INSTEAD, use the RX3 or RX6 (UART3/UART6) pad on the bottom for the signal wire. This wasn't listed in their documentation anywhere, but should be included for those of us that use Flysky radios. Once I put my signal wire on RX6, and enabled the corresponding UART6 input in betaflight (with serial RX/ibus selected in config) it worked perfectly. I hope this review is helpful, and I wanted to thank HGLRC once again for replacing the board that had the USB issue. From a mistake to very pleased
We originally purchased this product as a mistake after not completely reading the description. We then purchased the four in one ESC that goes with this and have recently put it together and have had it in the air one time and let me tell you, basically straight out of the box, ran it through beta flight and put a battery in it, took it outside, And started flying and it flies very smooth and is stable and couldn’t be happier. This is our first 250 mm build and are very pleased with how it turned out so far. It is now encouraged us to continue to build these and go even further and faster and higher.

Betaflight doesn’t always recognized FC
Great product. My only issue is that rude fright controller is very fickle. Begaflight sometime doesn’t recognize it when plugging in the USB to serial connection. I use a MAC and have other FC that have no problem. Even using Windows 10 ad an alternative I Have the same issue. Tried three of the same FC’s and still it would work for a while after flashing firmware then over time it would just stop. Not sure what the issue is.

Very well built boards. I had no issues except my ibus receiver would not work on the sbus pad, I had to use the rx3 pad. Other than that a great little fc and esc combo. Have only flew it a few times but so far she flies great!

Would be a great stack
The first one i received worked for one flight before the vTX stopped working. I sent the units back to amazon and got a replacement. Second one worked great for about 6-7 packs, then the ESC smoked. I was using S4 1300ma batteries. Very disappointing because the form factor was perfect for the quad i built. I ended up buying a 30x30 JBF4 and the 4 in 1 combo, Little harder to install, although rock solid unit.

Good product
I've had this product on a 3inch for about 2 months now and it's still going strong. HGLRC always makes good products. My only downfall if it's a downfall is I wish the VTX had an MMCX connector instead, so I could swap it for a better antenna. Besides that I like it a lot. I went through a bunch of GEPRC stacks before finding this one.

Would be a great stack
The first one i received worked for one flight before the vTX stopped working. I sent the units back to amazon and got a replacement. Second one worked great for about 6-7 packs, then the ESC smoked. I was using S4 1300ma batteries. Very disappointing because the form factor was perfect for the quad i built. I ended up buying a 30x30 JBF4 and the 4 in 1 combo, Little harder to install, although rock solid unit.

Good product
I've had this product on a 3inch for about 2 months now and it's still going strong. HGLRC always makes good products. My only downfall if it's a downfall is I wish the VTX had an MMCX connector instead, so I could swap it for a better antenna. Besides that I like it a lot. I went through a bunch of GEPRC stacks before finding this one.
