abunda_amazon_reviews so I replaced a shorter, alloy version that was quite a bit beefier. So, I had to replace the originals because I needed them to extend to the outside of the vehicle only by about an inch or so due to the mounting hardware on KC Daylighters. first drive I took I noticed these metal mounts had a ton of vibration which will inevitably reduce the life of the KC bulbs. I'm going to attempt to strengthen them with some angle iron on the top or bottom of the same length as these brackets. I wish they were allot like the first set or just heavier duty metal. These would be fine for lighter lights, like LED's.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2020;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;flimsy;;Daniel N. Albert;;;I took a shot in the dark on this light bracket, and am very glad I did. The contours are very nice and completely perfect in every way. They line up with existing edges spot on. These brackets seem to very sturdy and comparable to other well known name brand products. For example I have these Rugged Ridge mirror relocation brackets on the side of the same panel these brackets bolt on to and they feel exactly the same and have same the same finish. These brackets come with a 3M foam backing so they don't scratch up your Jeeps paint. (Others do not come with this), nice touch! The TJ uses the lower corner hole and the diagonally cut sliding hole. The Large cut through the center of this bracket must be used by the JK. On the "top" where the light would mount has a single hole and a sliding hole. The sliding hole must be used as, the hole in the back is too close to the windshield hinge for a light to be mounted that close. Just an FYI. These brackets are totally legit, most options like this for mounting lights here are in the $30-40 range. These are $12 and are better in just about every way. Also the standard shipping got it here in 3 days...not bad for not Prime.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2016;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Fits my '00 TJ perfectly!;;EJD;;;I was excited to get the entire package for a great price. Brackets: Installed easy and fit the hinges and mounting points perfect. Paint looked good; I gave them a shot of clear coat to help prevent any future rust. Lights cubes: Seemed well built and installed nicely onto the brackets, also liked the idea of the light covers. They didn't interfere with visibility out the front window. The bolts were a bit long going through the mounting brackets, but there was about 1/4" clearance above the side panels. The swivel bolts and nuts were a bit of a pain. I used a zip tie threaded around the nut to add enough tension to get them tight. Wiring harness: The distance between the lights was about a 2 feet short, so I cut the plugs off, soldered some extra length and extended the wires from Left to Right side. Connected to the GRND and +Bat fine. Ran the switch lead across the back of the engine and wend inside by pulling out the clutch pedal plug. I drilled and hole and made a slice in it so the wire fit nicely through the firewall. I routed the on/off switch next to the steering wheel adjustment and used the adhesive tape to mount it on the ledge next to the air vent. My only concern is that there a red LED that is on, and overtime could drain the battery. May have to augment that or change out the switch. Took about 2 hours to install. Overall I like the look.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Almost Perfect - Jeep JT Gladiator Install;;GeepinGeo;;;Perfect. Exactly what I wanted for my JL.
