I got this to replace a similar chair. This one is so much better - both the umbrella and the chair itself stay put even in strong wind (my other chair would blow over and sometimes away if I didn't put a beach bag in the seat when I got up). This chair is also easy to fold up and comes with a very nice carrying bag that can be worn similar to a backpack or just over one shoulder. If you want to go to the beach and stay there all day in the shade then this chair is for you. Yes, it is a little heavy. Yes, the bag fits the chair a little snug so you have to be careful putting the chair back in. Otherwise, this is the perfect chair. It is made of quality materials which makes it a little heavy but I see this chair lasting me for years to come. The shade does lock on each side to keep it extended. It can also fold behind the chair if you do not want to use it. The chair also has locks so if you decide to drag it around in the sand it stays open and doesn't collapse. It is very stable. The mesh inserts do allow air to flow through which is also nice. It is also very comfortable. Would definitely buy again :-) ... show more

This chair is a life saver! Not only is it very comfortable but the awning is wonderful. I have a bad back and have to have a chair that doesn’t have too much curve between the seat and back. This chair has a sturdy but very comfortable seat and the straight back keeps your back in line. Now I can talk about the awning. We spend a lot of time at ball games and family outings. It’s wonderful to be able to situate the chair and awning so we stay nicely shaded without having to lug around a large tent. The chair is a little heavier that you average chair but not enough to change my opinion on the worth of this chair. It’s a little stiff to fold up but just take an extra minute. The chair is comfortable, sturdy and a sun saver! I bought this one “used- like new” and it was perfect! I will be buying more like this. ... show more

My husband and I used these chairs at the beach for a week! They are perfect since we don't want too much sun! I have also used mine at the ball park watching my grandsons' games. It's easy to fold, carry, and it's very comfortable! It shades my face if I decide to read a book on the beach. Some friends texted me and asked me to meet them about a half a mile up the beach, and the backpack-like straps for the carrier worked beautifully! I easily hiked over with the chair on my back. I really want to like this chair because of the sun blocker shader on top. The chair is good looking but a flaw in the design makes it uncomfortable to sit in for any extended amount of time. The back of the chair rubs up against one of the cross-sections ( see both photos I posted) So after awhile your back starts to feel the metal bar and the chair becomes uncomfortable. You could workaround this problem by putting padding between you and the back of chair. I'm a 6' tall 180lb person and my wife who is smaller in size both experienced the same issue when sitting in chair. Otherwise the chair is well made and looks like it can last a few seasons of summer. ... show more

I lover this chair. It is perfect for the beach because it reclines to two positions, has a place for resting a drink and is comfortable. The adjustable umbrella come in handy for light rain or harsh sun for long days at the beach. It's easy to open and close once you read the instructions :) And while, folded, it is a little larger than some fold-up chairs, it's still light enough to cart to the beach or to your favorite camping spot. ... show more

I just love this chair. It's a little bit higher than the other low beach chairs which makes getting out of it easier. You have to set the incline prior to opening it completely but that's OK. The sunshade adjusts easily and it is quite comfortable and after using it a few times it becomes easier to open and close it. I had my doubts about fitting it back into the pouch provided, but it does go back in. ... show more
