Nice watch, had to return it.
First, its a beautiful watch. It fits fine on my wrist. The step tracking is very functional and I like how they used the hands and buttons to interact with a smartphone and notify you. There is one major flaw to this (at least this specific version) watch, and that is the numbers are a bit darker on the real watch than in the picture. This means you have much less contrast between the background and the numbers than what is implied in the picture. This makes the watch VERY difficult to read in low light. The hands do emit a glow at night, helping to read, however if there is any ambient light, say from a street light or lights from other cars, the hands will not emit their light. Coupled with the lack of contrast in the watch face, it becomes impossible to read. Another breaking issue is although Fossil did a great job in HOW they show you the current day of the month, they did so by creating a very thin ring that fits between the larger interior face numbers and the numbers just inside the bezel. This very thin ring has the numbers 1 thru 31 to signify the date. Unfortunately, they suffer from the same contrast issue and coupled with the very tiny font used, its difficult to read even under direct light and often my eyes get them confused with the minute marks, or 24-hourly marks on the ring just inside the bezel. It has a great function where you can assign each face number to an individual, and if you get a text or call from that person, the watch will let you know by going to that number. For example, my wife was assigned to the number 1, and my parents the number 2. If my wife calls, the watch will point both hands to the number 1 to indicate who called. If my parents call, the hands point to 2. Its actually kinda clever. The bottom button serves as a multi-function control button for your smartphone that you can set to do one of three different things: 1) Emit a tone to find the phone, 2) control your music player (iffy support by Spotify), and 3) take a picture. I also had no problems whatsover with the bluetooth pairing. Though the vibration alarm was a bit anemic and failed to wake me (as opposed to an older Fitbit charge, or Garmin Vivofit which could), it was a very welcomed addition. So, TL;DR, great watch killed by its weaknesses in low light. Ended up returning it, but would seriously consider an alternate Fossil Q.

Beautiful And Intuitive Watch!
This is a beautiful watch. Be warned the face is fairly large however I have large wrists so it looks good. I imagine if you have smaller wrists it may seem a little unproportioned. I have been looking at buying it over the course of the last 2 or 3 months, reading other people's reviews and getting other peoples thoughts on YouTube about it. I noticed a few other reviewers on Amazon saying that the watch has issues pairing so that was concerning to me, but I took the risk anyways and am glad I did. I have not had any issues with the software side of things yet. I bought this watch not only because I liked the look of it, but primarily because it doesn't require charging like a regular smartwatch. I have owned several Samsung smartwatches in the past such as the Gear Fit, Fit 2, Gear S, Gear S2, and Gear S3, and I always hated having to remember to charge the device at the end of each night, or after a couple of nights. I love that this watch just uses a traditional watch battery. The only thing I had somewhat of an issue with was adjusting the watch band, but I suspect this is on me because I have never owned a traditional watch before, so it took a little work figuring out how to take out the pins to remove links and then reset the pin to make it fit, but that wasn't too difficult. As far as the smar capability, I think it is perfect for me. In the past with the smartwatches I've owned, there was always a digital display that would allow me to read text messages, send texts, answer calls, etc. but I've never needed to do that much. I've always just wanted to know when I get a text, and control my music. This watch fits the bill perfectly. The Fossil App was very simple to get the watch setup and paired with my phone, and from there I programmed the buttons on the side to control my music, and I assigned my contacts to people who are important to me. It has some additional button features too such as commute time, mode toggle, etc. but I really only needed the music and the notifications. All in all this is a great product, and if you're looking for a very nice watch first, and only need a minimal number of tasks to accomplish, definitely look into this one. If you're looking for more functionality like sending reading texts off of your watch, definitely look at a true smartwatch like the Samsung watches, the Android wear watches, or the Apple watches.

The picture does not do this watch justice!
I got this for my Fiancé's birthday and he absolutely loves it and wears it every single day. You will need to buy tools to adjust the size of the watch according to your wrist, but it was simple to do with a youtube tutorial. It vibrates whenever you get an Incoming call, Text or any other notification. You can customize to your liking and you can prioritize who you want to receive notifications from. This watch is not touchscreen so please be aware that this isn't like an apple watch, it is an elegant watch that does have minimal useful features. Buy this if you are more interested in the watch than the smart features, because there is not much customization like a standard touchscreen smartwatch. However this product is definitely worth it for those who want a new sophisticated watch, in which case the features are a bonus.

It's good but...
When I bought it I thought it was going to be an alternative to the FitBit, not a killer but a good substitute. It kinda is for a while but it has some major draw-backs. The dark face makes it hard to see what time is it when it is not illuminated (mind you it doesn't have any source of light so you probably need to pull out your phone anyways to see what time it is). The step sensor is a fit flawed. I move around a lot in my work space to reach stuff, it senses I walked from 10 to 15 steps while reaching for paper of the printer. The pros, it is simple to use and the personalized actions of the buttons help a lot. It exercises your mind when trying to remember what number you gave to each alert. vibration is strong enough so you will feel it.
