Very low quality mount. The handle that moves the telescope up and down broke the first time we used it, and is unusable now. The telescope seemed to be decent, but didn't get much of a chance to actually use it. I understand the affordable price now.

Realize, this is only for looking at the night sky, the image goes through the kind of mirror setup where things look upside down or sideways, this is totally normal, as in space there is no up or down, because each star is on its own axis. ... show more

My granddaughter was upset because she put it together & could not see anything thru the lense. You need a lot more training how to know where the moon & planets are located via latitude longitude before you can even start to look into the sky. Not for beginners. I even bought a beginners book & still had problems. Not happy. ... show more

I know this is almost a year later as we didn't try to use it till the summer but this Telescope is horrible. Impossible to find any object in the sky at night. Followed directions to a tee. NOTHING. The locator mini telescope is useless unless you calibrate it during the day and you HOPE to find an object in the main telescope to even try to calibrate the view finder. Tripod it comes with is cheep and not sturdy. Locking screw on the legs broke first time we used it. $140 wasted money. I'm just pissed we didn't use it right when the kids opened it for Christmas to get my money back!! ... show more

We are beginners here and the tripod was very loose. So it was hard to lock it in on anything. The handle to tighten the tripod broke and wouldn’t hold it upright at all. It didn’t come with any kind of instructions on how to use it. I finally found a video on YouTube and actually used it once. The next time we Got it out to try again it broke. ... show more
