abunda_amazon_reviews Small, light, powerful, reliable, and sucks up grass and debris like a vacuum. The cord did get in my way a few times but that was nothing compared to the hassle of my old gas lawnmower. I have a small yard with outlets fairly close by. I did consider a battery operated mower but didn't want to have to replace expensive batteries every couple of years. Very happy with the purchase.;;July 14, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great little mower;;Mike;;;Do not buy!!!! did not work!!!. Called the 1-800 # for one week straight with being put on hold by precanned answering system. no one picked up after looping through over an hour of precanned messages each time I called. Horrible customer service, actually none at all!!! I am really disgusted. It came in a huge box that was took up a lot of space so discarded it. who would have that this garbage would not work and that no customer service for repair and or replacement would be available. SInce I threw away the box not sure how to return. gave this 1 star actually would give it ZERO stars Rip off;;June 7, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;DO NOT BUY! DOES NOT WORK NONEXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE;;ARK;;;I had to put my Toro self-propelled gas mower in the shop with a 3-4 week turnaround and opted to search for a small backup mower instead of paying someone to cut my large lawn for a month. I ordered a similarly priced Greenworks 14in that was prettier than this one and came with a bag, but arrived DOA and wouldn't start. Sent that back for a non-powered reel mower which cut short grass well enough (on the highest setting) but struggled with my backyard which was already out of control after the Greenworks dud. Once I got the yard to a manageable height I figured the reel mower would suffice as a backup, but decided to give another brand of electric mower a shot... SO GLAD I DID! This little guy is fun to use and handles the grass so much better than the reel mower (which would require twice weekly mowings with multiple passes). The cord takes some getting used to until you realize an electric mower is a different experience than a gas mower and as such requires different tactics. Pros Lightweight - Light enough to control with one hand. Some have said it's like "vacuuming the yard". An apt analogy since you can push the mower with one hand while managing the cord with the other. No overheating - I used the same 10 Amp, 16 gauge, 100ft cable I use for my weedeater with no power loss or overheating. The manual recommends a 12 gauge cord at that length, which would cost about as much as the mower itself. And while a thicker, higher gauge cord might get you more power, it still cut my lawn fine without the motor struggling or, more importantly, me struggling to cut the grass more than once a week. Storage - Small, no-maintenance so I can hang it on the wall indefinitely for years and pull it out again if my gas mower is out of commission. Starts right up - Every time. Period. No cord yanking. Just pull the lever. Gentle - It doesn't blow grass out of the shoot with the relentless force of my gas mower. I was sweaty when I got done cutting didn't really smell like I rolled around in a pile of grass clippings. Quiet - Stealthy compared to my gas mower, making for a more pleasant mowing experience. But this is also a con because... Cons Quiet - The dogs have no fear of it whatsoever! I generally allow my dogs in the yard while I use my gas mower because they have the good sense to stay out of the path of the big, loud, grass-killing death machine. With this guy I have to keep telling them to get out of the way. Even my ten pound Chihuahua puppy (picture in the foreground) is more afraid of the weedeater than this mower. Lawn stripes/lines - I had been working on a diagonal pattern in my lawn, but the cord only allows for a horizontal cutting path working outward from the outlet. Also, the front and rear wheel are spaced differently which creates a double line that makes it hard to line up your last pass. If you're going for a fancy landscaped pattern this mower can't create it. Small - The 14in deck takes longer to cut my lawn. Not really the mower's fault but still something to consider. No bag - It doesn't come with it and it's not an after-purchase option. Overall It's exactly what I needed in a backup mower. If you have a small lawn you cut regularly this is your mower. If you're looking for a spare mower to keep your grass in check this is your mower. If you have a large lawn and want an electric mower for regular use, check this brand for larger models.;;June 6, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Fun, Efficient, Little (Backup) Mower...;;MD;;;i'm a senior citizen that replaced a very heavy mower for this one. i love the light weight, which renders it very easy to maneuver it is also easy to store. i have a hilly lawn - my heavy mower made it impossible to mow cross-wise - i had to pull it up and down. this one i can push and pull with one hand and easily mow across the hill. the 5 levels (hi to lo) make it more versatile. miss the power of my heavier mower but prefer the light weight to the power. The hardest part was the weight (it is heavy) and getting it out of the box by myself. Mulching ability is superb;;Rachel;;;While compact and very easy to move around, this lawn mower fails at its primary purpose, which is to cut grass. Do not buy this lawnmower, unless you want to go over the same patch of lawn multiple times to cut the grass, which even then mostly just knocks the grass down flat while making pretty grass swirls. Lawnmower seemed to work fine, so I am assuming it is just not powerful enough to cut the grass. For reference, I have a fescue (sp?) grass. This lawnmower was a replacement for my previous B&D Electric Motor that had a much more powerful motor and cut my grass just fine for five previous years.;;June 6, 2017;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Does not cut the grass;;D. Manning;;;I just got this mower and gave it a try. After reading the reviews about the wheels coming off, I made sure they were tight. It looks like Earthwise has acknowledged a problem in this area and REVERSED how the wheels attach. Instead of tightening a screw (bolt actually), it now is tightening a nut! However, my husband and I noticed as we examined the entire mower that the blade and engine are not centered on the outer green plastic housing. The blade doesn't come close to the plastic on one side but actually cuts into it on the other. If it were not a double-thick housing, I would have returned it. As it was, Amazon.com DID give a partial refund on it because that blade will wear prematurely because of the extra wear cutting a groove. Because of the double-layer housing, it's not a safety issue and it did cut the lawn cleanly. It may take a couple more mowings before the groove is "finalized". If the housing were metal - this would not have been usable.;;May 4, 2012;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Cuts well - including it's own housing!;;Occasional Customer

No bag - It doesn't come with it and it's not an after-purchase option. Overall It's exactly what I needed in a backup mower. If you have a small lawn you cut regularly this is your mower. If you're looking for a spare mower to keep your grass in check this is your mower. If you have a large lawn and want an electric mower for regular use, check this brand for larger models.

i love the light weight
i'm a senior citizen that replaced a very heavy mower for this one. i love the light weight, which renders it very easy to maneuver it is also easy to store. i have a hilly lawn - my heavy mower made it impossible to mow cross-wise - i had to pull it up and down. this one i can push and pull with one hand and easily mow across the hill. the 5 levels (hi to lo) make it more versatile. miss the power of my heavier mower but prefer the light weight to the power. This one gets the job done ALMOST as well.

very good. Mulching ability is superb
Very, very good. Mulching ability is superb. I no longer have to bag heavy grass and there is no evidence of lawn clippings whatsoever. I didn't want to bother with oil and gas! I am still trying to get used to the cord and how best to mow back and forth as my yard is odd shaped. It took me about 5 minutes to assemble (super easy). The hardest part was the weight (it is heavy) and getting it out of the box by myself. It is very well packed so removing the stuck in materials and lifting it from the box was tricky.

Does not cut the grass
While compact and very easy to move around, this lawn mower fails at its primary purpose, which is to cut grass. This lawnmower was a replacement for my previous B&D Electric Motor that had a much more powerful motor and cut my grass just fine for five previous years.

Cuts well - including it's own housing!
I just got this mower and gave it a try. If the housing were metal - this would not have been usable.
