This scale is a great combination of tech and foodie that I find difficult to resist. Setup was seamless and took less than a minute. I’ve only used it once so far, but that’s enough to get a gauge on its performance. I selected a simple cookie recipe with few ingredients and followed the directions, pouring ingredients into the bowl until the correct weight registered on the scale. I had to giggle the first couple of times the big checkbox popped up, letting me know that I’d poured in just the right amount of sugar or cocoa (because I’m a geek). It took forever it get here. The light did not come on, and I have had no response to me email. Because it took so long the return time has run out. Expensive experience

in order to use this product it is necessary to use the reader. which makes the whole operation cumbersome. do not recommend

My family was in the market for a new food scale and we were intrigued by the Drop concept. As a food scale the device works as expected, we just wished there was some kind of display on the scale versus having to be dependent on a smart phone or tablet to see measurements. We were surprised at how well the scale works in conjunction with the recipes provided in the app. We really enjoyed making pizza dough from scratch. We also have enjoyed trying the different recipes and wish there were more! Drop recently started allowing people to submit their own recipes so we are hoping more recipes will continue to flow. ... show more

The Drop Non-Slip Silicone Connected Kitchen Scale and Interactive Recipe App is an awesome combo and I love it! Historically, I have not done a lot of the cooking for our family. In the year since I got my Drop Scale, I’ve been in the kitchen way more! I love the step-by-step instruction and really appreciate the interactivity of the Recipe app. It adds a whole new dimension to cooking and makes experimenting more accessible and fun.     • Wonderfully Simple!
I was on the fence about a $100 kitchen scale knowing that basic scales range from $20-40 ish. Ultimately, I decided to give this one a chance and here is what I think. From novice to expert, I beleive this is a new must have for in everyones kitchen. It is compact and easy to clean/put away. It is so simple that even a child could use it, but so accurate that it is a serious game changer. When it arrived I pulled it out, turned it on, and choose a cookie recipe for starters. I used 1 spoon and 2 bowls. Adding the ingredients as the scale told me to was a breeze. Step by step this thing held my hand. On the baking step, it started the timer and gave me a notification near and at end of baking. I will also be using this scale to help maintain a healthy consistant diet by weighing my food and keeping track of it in MyFitnessPal. ... show more

my wife and I love this product. especially these days when both of us are working from home. its kind of fun having some time to go to the kitchen and observe how simple recipe is turning out to be yummy staff.
