I typically wear a size 7.5 or 8. I went with an 8 to account for possible thick socks, etc. They look just like they do online. They fit well. I wore them to work the next day. I even took another pair of shoes with me, just in case. I did not have a need to swap out my shoes. They felt so good from the start of my day to the end. The comfort on these is fine - I’d wear them for a morning or errands or a day at my desk job. But the real incredible-ness of these is that they’re lined up the calf and the calf is WIDE. It has a buckle at the top and I actually tightened it and they’re still a little open at the top. They’re great!! id say the silhouette is more horse farm than city sleek but they’re very cute. I’ve been wearing them around Chicago this winter and always get compliments. I got the quilted black with gold accents - they’re very pretty with leggings or jeans - haven't worn them under a dress or skirt yet but, again, they’re a bit boxier than I like for that and I can see them showing through the hang of a skirt and messing with that silhouette a bit. Received the 2nd pair ordered & they fit great! So excited to wear over-the-calf boots for the 1st time. Wide calves made it impossible. For the price -feel & look more expensive. First pair received had size 12 in a 10 box. Company graciously refunded without me having to return boots. I will donate them. [ Update: A size 12 was in a 10box. It fit my calf great but was way too large for the foot, like 1+ inch too long. I would have ordered at least one size smaller had I been aware. Decently made. Bought these for my wife. She has a wider calf & because most styles are uncomfortable for her. These fit great & she loves the look & comfort of them. They have a slight heel on them but nothing to make much of a difference. She gets compliments about them from people often & she wears them almost daily. I got these shoes as a gift for my sister, she usually wears a size 10 and I bought a size 11. I tried them on as I’m a size 9-10, and they fit perfectly with about a half a thumb worth of toe space. My suggestion would be to buy one size up from what you normally wear, especially if you plan to wear some good socks with these. I got the wider one to fit her calves and they fit mine with about half an Inch to an inch of extra room so I’m sure they’ll fit her perfectly. The quality of the shoe is also really good, it was not cheap feeling at all and didn’t smell weird. The sole is also very solid and they feel comfortable to walk in, and I have normal arches. These boots are so cute and well made for the price you pay. The fur inside the camel colored boots is so thick and soft. I measured my calves and bought the wide size. They fit perfect. Unfortunately, I think they’re too warm for where I live in Florida.
