  • Great so far
Size: Triton PS Plus
We had it's predecessor, the Dolphin S200 for eight years before it died. We were happy with it other than occassionally missing a couple of spots. We are very happy that this version has the ability to remotely control its movements. The app and it's remote controlability are easy to use. It does take a little practice getting the movements down because you are driving an airstream powered skid steer - so it's not so precise; however it does work. After two months of use, the dolphin has been running great. One thing to note, as mentioned on the Amazon product info, this dolphin does NOT come with the fine particle filters. If you buy this model from other vendors you'll likely get those filters, but likely pay a little more for the product as well. ... show more

  • A super low energy but costly pool cleaner but worth it! It does excellent cleaning any time.
Size: Triton PS Plus
Easy to clean, super fine filters that collect dust from air and a removable basket. Runs by itself or Bluetooth and does not get stuck in corners. Cleans walls like a charm. Saves 90% of personal work of pool cleaning. Does not work in very shallow water less than 18 inches. No extra pump required!

  • Decent but expensive....failed after 2 months
Size: Triton PS Plus
My pressure side vacuum failed at the beginning of the season so I elected to replace it with the Triton TS. I'm a gadget guy, so the thought of having a robot pool vacuum was awesome. The debris in the pool was a little more than this robot could handle (we have high winds that blows all kinds of stuff in the pool) so it should go without saying that I manually vacuumed to give the robot the best chance it could. It really did a good job. I will say that I wish the cleaning cycles were longer and the app looks like it was written for the first gen iPhone but it does the job for the most part. However, less then 3 months of using it, it failed. When the unit was working, it did a good job although I do feel the cleaning cycles should be more configurable. I also think the remote control function, good in theory bad in practice, is a bit gimmicky. I am rating this product very poor based on support. This is not an inexpensive product and support should be considerably better. I will update the rating when/if appropriate. This is what happened for me to require support if you felt so inclined as to read it. The controller had a red ring and the app simply indicated that the cleaning cycle failed to complete. I researched common issue and followed steps to reset the unit. It seemed to resolve the problem for about a day then failed again. I contacted support and they shared with me some documentation on how to clear obstructions from the tracks/impeller but that did not fix the problem. They then had me ship the unit in for repair. They received it on 7/9/2023. After not receiving an update for, I asked for an update and received the following reply on 7/18/2023: "Thank you for the update. According to our systems, the unit was received in our facility. Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated turnaround time for the repair process, but we can assure you that our teams are doing everything they can to complete it as soon as possible. Once the repair is completed, you will receive an automated email, with the tracking information." That was the last I heard from them and I haven't wanted to be impatient. Today, 8/10/2023, I requested another update and I am waiting to hear back. <edit 8/25/2023> They finally responded after I filed a complaint through their corporate feedback form. I never received the cause of the failure but they ended up sending me a new "upgraded" unit, an SC400. It took almost 2 weeks to arrive but it did actually get here. I set it up yesterday and ran two cycles, seems to be working fine. However, the original unit also worked fine for about a month. So time will tell on this one. ... show more

  • Pretty good robot, underwhelming app integration
Size: Triton PS Plus
One of the biggest selling points for me was the app. I was comparing this one against the Nautilus and ended up with the Triton+ purely because I wanted the ability to use the app controls. (And I liked the Yellow/Black aesthetic) Since you're not supposed to keep the base power adaptor exposed to the sun, it seems like the robot is not meant to live in the pool. Also, you shouldn't have the robot in the pool while swimmers are present and it doesn't have the capability of moving in/out of the pool. So it seems like it's something that you put away and take out as necessary. So I'm not sure why such a thing would need an app with the capability to remote start or setup a schedule, but here we are. It has these functions that I'll probably never use. I wonder if there's anyone who actually does use them. The manual "remote control" feature of the app is super underwhelming. There's a large delay between pressing the virtual joystick on the screen to seeing the robot move the way you want. This amount of input lag makes it really hard to actually navigate the robot. If you turn, you'll either undershoot or overshoot your turn. If you move, you'll either undershoot or overshoot the move. Whether that's because it's a WiFi signal and outside is typically far from an access point, or simply because the program itself is slow, who can say? In any case, it hasn't been a worthwhile addition to the product. Ultimately, I just use the app for metrics like "it took this long" or "it filtered this much water" and I can see a history of when it's been run. That's about it for its usefulness to me, really. For its actual cleaning, it's pretty good. I bought this vacuum instead of hiring someone to come out and clean my pool in a new house with an uncovered pool that had collected months of fallen debris, and it's done a pretty good job. My pool has underground cement stools built in, and this robot cannot handle that. The first few times that I ran its cleaning cycle, it would get stuck on these underwater stools and require manual intervention. Somehow, after the first day, it decided the area with the stools doesn't exist anymore and doesn't get stuck. Whether it retained a map of the pool or I've just gotten lucky, I'm not sure. Last up- the build quality. My only complaint is about the latch that holds in the filter basket. Every time I pull this up, it feels cheap and fragile. I have to apply enough force that it worries me I'm going to snap off a part someday. When that happens, maybe I'll update the review and drop a star or two. For now, this robot is pretty good and I'm happy with it. ... show more
