  • Not nearly as quiet as advertised
I run a first gen Mavic and wrecked some blades due to what I'll call a learning experience. With the need to get some need blades I came across these that said they were more quiet. If they are I couldn't tell. We all know the sound that a drone makes and this is not going to make yours whisper quiet. That being said the gold trim does look kinda cool so as long as you're not setting the expectation bar too high you'll be alright. ... show more

  • A Bit Expensive, Great For High Flyers
I’m not going to write an in-depth review on these blades as I think there are a lot of other folks here that have done an amazing job of that already. I will say that I noticed a considerable ‘reduction in noise’ with these blades. The reason I put quotes around that phrase is because I don’t intend for ‘reduction in noise’ to describe a metric that’s necessarily measured on an empirical scale. It’s much more subjective and it’s tough to put your finger on it. It’s not necessarily a reduction in operating volume as it still seems about as loud as before. Though I’m sure there’s technically a slight reduction on the dB scale with these blades, that’s not really the most impactful difference. Instead, it’s an overall reduction in that whine that we all love so much in drones. This is a very subjective thing to pinpoint, but it now sounds LESS like a furious swarm of bees, while also hitting a lower tonal range. It feels to me like they designed these blades to dampen the higher tonal ranges of that familiar drone whine. This effect is slightly noticeable at 50ft or less but very noticeable when you’re flying 200ft or more. I think this is why there are such conflicting reviews around these blades. You either value that subjective reduction in noise or you don’t. I live in a pretty populated neighborhood with some finicky neighbors, so I tend to fly as close to the FAA ceiling as possible, around 350-395 ft. With these, I now can’t really hear the drone unless it’s above me, where before, I could hear that high pitched whine a ways off, even flying around 400 ft altitude. Considering my situation, these blades make sense as I’m sure my paranoid neighbors now don’t even know my drone’s way up there photographing the mountains. I will also note that I see a slight increase in battery life, maybe a couple minutes, but nothing dramatic. Still though, that can mean a few extra shots if you plan your shoot right. The blades are a bit expensive for what they are BUT they are official DJI hardware so you have peace of mind that your drone won’t suffer some sort of catastrophic failure due to cheap production standards or inferior materials. The only reason this product isn’t 5 stars is because of the price. I don’t know what sort of magic is woven to produce these but I do suspect that four plastic, swiveling drone blades that contain two metal pins each, a splash of paint, with surface and edge finishing work would perhaps cost a few bucks to make at higher quantities. To me the price point feels high, to the degree that I feel like DJII is taking advantage of my brand loyalty. That irks me a bit. Beyond that though, it’s a good quality product from a great company. I would consider these if you want to lessen your overall noise footprint on your surroundings. ... show more

  • Deceptive advertising.
3 stars for the "Two Pairs" just put 4 props.....some people may see "two pairs" and get that confused with "two sets" which is for sure the reason they chose to word it that way instead of using the 4 props wording. Lame

  • Nice props! DJI OEM. In my opinion, they are quieter!
After looking at older reviews which seemed mixed about the authenticity of these props, and the recent 5 star reviews, I took a chance on these and I am very pleased. I just got back from taking these new props on it's first flight, no problems what so ever. The Mavic Pro felt much better flying, far more steady. Not sure if these new props do this, the shape is slightly different than the standard propellers - or because the props I had on them prior to this purchase saw many flights already. I've seen some reviews how there is little to no noise reduction. I personally think these are quieter than the standard props that came with my Mavic, I noticed the difference immediately as soon as I took off. And hovering over my head at 150-175ft, the standard props I could clearly hear them. These noice reducing props, I can hear it, but nothing like before. Flight time, that remained unchanged. I'm very happy with these, no regrets on my purchase! ... show more

  • works almost great
I bought these props as an upgrade for my mavic pro. they do make a little less noise than the original ones and the flight time seems comparable. I bought an extra set after reading how fragile prior reviewers said they were. however, I have flown the drone straight up into telcom lines, and also hit a pine tree branch, which flipped the drone upside down and it fell to the ground upside down with the props still spinning and getting all caught up in grass and dirt. nothing more than a slight smudge on the gold painted tip of one blade. was able to wipe it off and resume flying like nothing happened. so the ones I got are very durable. I cant imagine a dry leaf breaking them. maybe that was a bad batch or something in prior reviews. drone hovers around 500 rpm with these. I never looked what it was before. i am editing the review down to 4 stars because I notice the drone is drifting slowly when hovering, even with minimal wind. did not do that with the original blades. ... show more

  • Authentic DJI Props as described.
Like many others, I bought these for one purpose only, to reduce the noise of my drone. There was nothing wrong with my current set but wanted to try the noise reduction ones. I tested with two different decibel meters, from different distances while in hover and both showd zero decrease in noise. Maybe it's only noticeable as it flies but that's kind of hard to test without a controlled environment. It did change the tone a bit so it sounds a little less like bees now. The props still function as they should and we'll make a great backup set. ... show more

  • I love these blades
I was skeptical but, I am happy with them. I flew my drone with the old blades on them and compared them to these. Granted you can still here that pack of bed sound but it isn't nearly as loud as it is with the original blades. Not to mention they do look pretty cool.
