abunda_amazon_reviews Here is my take on these goggles Pros Direct connection to your mavic ,no cables Huge screen. Makes you feel like your looking out the window of a high rise My favorite is ....camera head follow. It works very well. You can adjust the speed of the head movement. Where you put your head is where the camera goes. Its like being in a helicopter or hot air ballon looking around. Way cool. At first i had problems with the video quality. I was going to return them. Then by accident i found this key issue IMPORTANT Go to your app and make video adjusted to 2.7 k On the app you can be in camera mode or video. Switch to video mode. The view is impressive The goggles are 1080p but for some reason if you put the app in 2.7 it effects the view in the goggles You cant go higher or the goggles go to 720. You will not get greater than 1080 from the goggles even though video recording is at 2.7k. It may be a glitch in my app that i need to do this. Who knows.... For me...... this 2.7 move made all the difference. Ill keep the goggles now They fit well but i found I needed to do this. Open the band wide open. Put the goggles on your face and hold them in place with one hand. Now pull the band down to your neck. Then tighten the band, not necessary to be TIGHT. It should now be on a angle downward to your neck. This angle makes it hold the goggles in place Once in place lift the band a half inch. This puts a little weight on the goggles. Try this and let me know. Its a fine balance of band and goggle weight holding it in place. Cons Lost connection at times when its 800 feet away and 200 up And At 15 feet just above the landing pad. It lasts a few seconds. I now just hover and wait a few seconds. No panic. I haven't had this in awhile I have about 50 flights with the goggles. Problem seems to have gone away... Not really Updated It still disconnects. Far away or over the landing pad. I need tobget with dji on this Eye glasses I wear 1.25 but had to get 3.5 to get a clear view of the screen Fogging You need to put the goggles outside from your air conditioned house to allow them to acclimate to outside weather... about an hour. I have no fogging now Instruction manual Like the mavic manuals provided online, are just a sneak peak at what is explained. You need to do what we all do. Go to mavic pilots forum or you tube. Its how we all learned to use the mavic and goggles DJI needs to do a better job of explaining.... fully.... what each and every operation that the product is capable of doing. These are amazing products and we shouldn't need to guess how to make a certain function work properly Bottomline I didnt like them at first. They are not like the demo videos. Once i figured out how to get a great view., i was hooked. I only want to use my goggles now. The goggles are a positive addition nonetheless, except for one big fail: the optics system is designed for 20 year-old eyes. Lots of youtube video reviewers complain that they cannot focus on the (otherwise wonderful) dual 1920x1080 display. Just a blur. This is especially true if you spell your age with an F or S. I used a good camera lens to focus on the display and the focused distance is about 0.3 meters! Older folks like me cannot focus down to 1 foot. If you cannot easily read your phone/tablet a foot away you won't be able focus on the DJI screen. This is even closer than most prescription reading glasses. My solution was to visit a drug store and stick various reading glasses in front of my normal (distant vision) Rx glasses. Turns out I need +3.25 in order to see the display. I temporarily rubber-cemented them inside the goggles. (See pic) Works fairly well except that the glue does not hold well. This is deliberate as I don't want to permanently screw up the goggles. I just ordered a new pair of Rx glasses from zennioptical with the +3.25 setting. DJI or another vendor should offer correction lenses that snap into the goggles. The +3.25 diopter value is good for anyone with good 20/20 distance vision but who cannot focus close up. Other values may be needed depending your eyes and correction. But it's a shame that DJI completely ignored customers who cannot focus down to ONE FOOT. I looked at the optical system, which is quite sophisticated with its complex arrangement of a hi-res display, polarizing beam splitter, mirrors and filters. But they totally failed to provide any diopter (focus) adjustment!? Vendors, are you listening? I wear prescription glasses and I am not able to see sharp the images in the screeen. This is a mayor fault from Dji company don't provide of this control. This is the reason I only give 3 stars to this device.
