Most of us have owned many, many scales during our lifetime. We went from analog scales to digital to home and health app connected (which is where we are now). Most likely, if you are looking to purchase a new scale, you will be looking for a digital one. They are just as reliable as the old analog scales with the spinning dial. If you aren't careful though, you are going to make a HUGE mistake that I made. This mistake caused me to purchase an additional digital scale that should have been my FIRST choice. You want a digital scale with a WiFi connection. Don't buy one with a connection that is Bluetooth only. I made that mistake last year when I bought a really great digital scale. You can click on my name above and search my reviews for the one I bought. Last year's scale was great. It was accurate. It connected to its own app as well as Apple's health app. The problem? If my phone was not in range, no information would be sent to it when I stepped on the scale. And I have to tell you, my phone was never in range. Bluetooth connections are pretty bad. They usually range around 30 feet. Bluetooth is also prone to disconnects. When I stumbled upon this scale from runcobo, the first thing in the Amazon product picture that caught my eye was a WiFi symbol. Could it be? Are there now scales that connect via WiFi?! So, I told you there were two "most important" aspects of buying this particular scale. The first is a WiFi connection. That will enable you to put the scale anywhere in your home and not worry about having your phone around. Now, whenever I step on my scale, no matter where my phone is, the information is recorded to the app. The second most important aspect is the number of positive reviews. Have you seen how many positive reviews this product has received? That told me that I could buy this scale with confidence. I really need to thank all the Amazon reviewers who gave positive feedback --- you were absolutely on the money! This scale works beautifully. It looks beautiful too. Step on it and not only is your weight recorded but other body composition data that I have no idea what it means. All I know is that I am obese for my size and weight. The app is free to download on your mobile device. The Apple App Store customers didn't give rave reviews to the app, but I had absolutely no issues with it. When you set it up, you give it all your personal statistics including the measurement of weight your country uses. If you are an iOS user you can connect all the data to your Apple Health app from within the runcobo app. What's really funny is that when you lose weight, the app gives a confirming response. When you gain weight, you get the old slide-whistle response. The scale is just as accurate as the other scales I have used. Sometimes these digital scales can be off by a few pounds and I was delighted to see this one was not. It even comes with its own set of AAA batteries, though I don't expect the brand they included to last long. If you are still with me at this point of the review there should be no doubt that this is the scale you should purchase. The scale is affordable, and absolutely amazing, it shows you all the details and all of the things that you should be working on, and you can share with someone else, my husband and I both have profiles on the same scale, I have tried to cheat it and see if it’s fake and makes up numbers but it doesn’t and if I could, I would give it 10 stars !!! ... show more

Really liked tbis scale until my daughter was added. Now it puts her weight under my profile & vice-versa. Then u can't delete the other person's wrong log. Also the privacy thing in the description isn't true as far as we can figure out. If anyone uses the scale it sends it to the app & says unknown user. All of the family/friends in the profile can see all of everyone elses data too! I wanted wifi capabilities & tracking, but the rest is for the birds & i should have bought a different scale ... show more

Edit 12/6/22: Still works well. Nothing negative to report. // The scale came in its own box, meaning it wasn't packed at all by Amazon. I was worried that there would be damage but was happy to find the scale perfectly unscathed. Setting up the scale and getting my first data set, including the time to set up the Runcobo app, took 10 minutes. I'm not sure why, but the password criteria is truncated in the space where you enter your initial password, so you have to guess what it wants. I tried many complicated passwords that did not work. I settled on something simple, which did work. That was the only disappointing thing about setting up (and the thing that took the longest!) I've used this thing for over a week now and it's relatively consistent. It seems to be so sensitive, that it will notify me in the app that something is substantially different and give me options on what to do (i.e., measure again, ignore, keep). I've only had this occur on body fat, in which a change in only a few decimal points set this thing off. There's a lot of good information included, but I'll have to do more research to understand what each one really means and how it affects my health. To the app's benefit, it will give you some guidance: for instance, I'm 6'0", 207# and it tells me that my body type is "heavy", and that I'm "overweight" based on my weight and BMI. It also shows me that my Subcutaneous Fat is "4.1% more than the standard value". So, all good news, as you can see! lol For each of the other measurements, it will tell you where you fall on their scale, from Low to High (Body Water), Essential Fat to Obesity (Body Fat %), etc. I find all of this very interesting. Finally, there's a trend selection, so that you can see from week to month to year how you're trending for each parameter. I really like this one. / Size: it's much slimmer than I thought and I fear that it might be fragile; however, it made it all the way to my house without any Amazon packaging whatsoever, so that's a good sign. Stability: The feet are situated perfectly so that you can step on, one foot at a time, and never feel like the scale is going to tip over. The scale's stability is actually quite impressive. Con: This thing is expensive, especially for a brand I have never heard of. Because of this, I purchased an extended warranty. I will update this review if anything changes. ... show more
