Order was placed and received quickly. On opening the box found the battery's out of round. A few e mails exchanged and problem was taken care of above and beyond what was expected with more than satisfied as well as generous results. First part of testing was home use and it is a general all around more than powerful not to long in length with the 1 battery set up that can go into tight areas such and refrigerator compressor compartment as well as a great pocket back up or working light that will not weigh you down due to size and weight when in the attic or under the house crawl space. Experience has taught me to take 2 lights when in crawl spaces in case one fails. A non intentionally drop test from a 7 foot height didn't even scratch it or damage it. It did put a nick on my oak floors that I can live with due to the tactical ring that came in the kit. So far over all this G 1 flashlight and kit is passing the home use test, small tough and with the kit able to do what is listed. Due to circumstances like Corona COVID 19 I have not tested the limits of this flashlight in construction and the service side of work in Los Angeles CA. Had this not happened I would have already tested it in a real service / construction site use where they are abused due to work conditions. About the only thing I would look for once I order the G1 and receive it are the batteries. Wish list and willing to purchase as extras are as follows if made in the future. A good quality belt holder to hold the G1 and a spare battery Combo G1 flashlight and good quality head gear adjustable head light that is interchangeable battery pack clipped to the belt with extra battery spare's and charger ready with the G1 Some type of magnetic bracket to hold the flashlight when working on one spot such as electrical panels would be something I can use for my application at work. Rubber protection inserts that can provide some protection from electrical and impact when dropped on floors. Larger hole on the attachment for the lanyard as well as a larger diameter attachment. Overall DanForce G1 has my attention of a quality investment that is worthy of my business and purchase investment. EDCV Los Angeles California Up Date 3/2021 Just started testing this G1 at work since 10/2020. For some reason it stopped working back in late Jan 2021 It lasted 11 months and a few days. Purchased new battery, charged it, Nope its deader than a dead door nail. Debating if I should open it and test the switch or look for a fuse , has to be something simple Think I will reach out to Danforce first see what they do Now how do I contact them? I was unaware the kickstarter campaign for this, I simply stumbled upon it on Amazon...one of those "you might also like this" suggestions from the Amazon "bots". I really liked the idea of a modular design, the versatility, re-chargeable batteries, and other options. I agree with many people that the packaging is nice, probably a bit overboard and not needed, but it does make you feel like it's a nice product, but of course it has nothin to do with the product...The G1 seems well made, feels substantial, operates nicely, and most likely will be a good purchase. The case is great and the batteries actually weigh the amount that a proper high capacity 18650 battery should weigh, so that is nice (I purchased a few other rechargeable, single cell 18650 flashlights and the batteries were pretty light). The only reason i gave this 4 stars is I think they took the idea of multi-purpose to a level they shouldn't have with the gimmicky compass. Maybe it's just mine, but it's trash. It looks and performs like a dime-store toy. I don't think I'll ever need it, and probably would have a hard time trusting it if things were so bad that I needed to use it. Maybe it's overkill to knock off a star for just a silly cheap compass, but it communicated to me perhaps a lack of testing, and cost consciousness. They could have put that money (and put less money in the packaging) to perhaps a better useable feature of the flashlight (maybe a better rail mount, or even another rail mount?). Overall I'm pleased with it, especially since I was able to get it on sale ($69) - I don't think it's a worth paying over $100 for this light..... ... show more

The fair price the G1 "Pro" (emphasis on "Pro" since what I got matches what their official site says for the Pro package) includes a bevy of niceties: TWO 18650 batteries with a charger, power bank that acts as an extension (about half the size of the G1) with a compass, a holster that can fit both the light + power bank, bike mount (nice touch), weapon rail mount, red+green lenses, a lantern mode attachment, snap-off cord neck strap, pressure switch, micro-USB charging cable (duh), all in a very nice case that is in a very nice box. If battery life is one of the main factors in choosing a tac-light, this one is easily in the top 5: the power bank extension essentially allows a 2nd 18650 battery. The G1 ends up 10.2 in in length but effectively doubles the amount of time it can stay on. I already did a test with just 1 of the provided 18650 at high intensity. While I didn't check how much it drained the battery, it lasted 2hrs no problem. I'm sure it would have lasted longer had I left it. So, the addition of the extension means this is good for at least several nights (anywhere from 2-4 days for 4-8hr nighttime at highest intensity). My only "issue" is not a huge one: it tops out at 1080 lumens. The top competitors for tac-lights (Skyben/Olight/Klarus, ThruNite, Nitecore and Fenix) of this size and smaller can ostensibly pump out 1600 lumens (or more depending if you get the pricier models). Personally, every 100 lumens is a plus and 1600 would be the preferred minimum. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with the output of the G1 as the max output is more than enough. Would definitely buy again as a gift or when mine's eventually needs to be replaced. ... show more
