  • Battery life is unacceptable
I was happy to get this blower because I was looking forward to being able to handle blower projects in the yard and on the roof/gutters without having to worry about dragging a cord around. We have a lot of oak trees in our yard and there's often a leaf blowing project that needs to be tackled. The day the blower arrived, my wife charged up the battery and started a project. In about 10 minutes the blower quit. Dead battery. I assumed we had gotten a defective battery, so I called customer service to discuss it. The lady I spoke with agreed and set up an order for a replacement battery to be sent. Due to issues with inventory or something else it took about a month and follow up phone calls for the replacement battery to arrive. Armed with the replacement battery, we charged it up and started a leaf blowing project in the yard. About ten minutes into the project the blower quit with a dead battery. Now I'm thinking maybe there's an issue with the blower or something else, so I called customer service again. The lady I spoke with agreed that there must be a problem, but wondered if it might be the charger (the charger lights seemed to indicate it was working OK). She put me on hold while she was going to reach out to a technician for some help. My call was dropped, she didn't call me back, so I called again and went through the issue with another rep. This lady also wanted to run the issue by a tech help person, so she put me on hold and did come back with some feedback from that effort. Her answer was that the battery is only designed to run the blower for about 10 minutes on high setting. This seemed unbelievable to me and I said so. She said that information should be in the user manual, but we couldn't find it there and I complained that it should be mentioned on the Amazon listing for the blower so you see it before ordering instead of what's actually there: "high performance 60V Battery Pack for long runtime". The customer service rep tried to blame the Amazon description on some seller they can't control that didn't properly describe the battery life. I pointed out to her that Craftsman had its own home page and descriptions on Amazon. She finally told me that the product listing on Lowe's website mentions an "Up to 11 Minutes per charge (High Speed)", as if it's up to the customer to seek out every listing of the product to understand the details. I asked her if that was what she was suggesting and she admitted that wasn't reasonable. She did say the battery life was a good bit longer if you use lower speed. So I suppose if I want my project to take a long time to finish, I can use the blower at a really low speed to preserve precious battery life. Here's the thing - we buy power tools to make our projects easier and quicker to complete. Not sure about you, but I don't have a lot of 10 minute projects for a power blower. And I need to use high speed to blow the leaves more effectively. So don't give me a 10 minute battery and don't describe it as a high performance battery. This is a battery they sell for $149 as I write this. You can do the math on how much it would cost you to have enough batteries to do your longer projects. I just find this design and this product description to be unacceptable and really worthy of zero stars. ... show more

  • Great blower, as long as you know what to expect
Have been using this for couple months, and I am really satisfied. It's much more powerful than my old Dewalt 20V one and makes my lawn work a lot easier. I think it could be better if it came with 5Ah battery for a bit higher price, but I cannot really complain about it considering the price. One thing to note is, blowers are battery hogs. So regardless of ANY battery powered blower, runtime is rather short at full power. If anybody expecting it to last hours at full power, then should look for a gas powered one. At 600CFM, almost any battery powered blower lasts about 5 min per Ah. ... show more

  • Perfect blower for my 1/2 acre lot.
Perfect mix of power and portability. Bought a Ryobi first because I like their 18v tools but the blower wasn’t powerful enough. So I returned it and went with this one. Does everything I need it to do in my Yard for half the price and weight of a gas blower. Havnt had a battery issue, and it recharges fairly quick. Hopefully it holds up. ... show more

  • Light Weight, Good Blower
It had ample power to blow pine straw and leaves off the driveway & around the pool. It seems to work well better than Dewalt and others. The cost was less as well, so buy this, the battery adds weight to the blower bus about the same as other blowers. It's nice not to drag a cord behind you

  • 10 min battery life
Very impressive power for a battery powered blower. Almost as good as my gas one! Battery is about 10 minutes. It's enough time for me to do the front of my house. It has a quick charge too.

  • Not the same
I writing this just to let anyone know that if you are purchasing this to go with some of your other 60 volt tools the battery IS NOT the same. I have other Craftsman 60 Volt tools and their battery is totally different and will not work. I bought this presuming that all 60 Volts tools would share the same format of battery and that I could swap when using to complete the job. I have a large yard and usually use two batteries just to finish weed eating and figured the same on the leaf blower but no. About the only thing I can use this for is the deck and carport and/or driveway. The tool itself works great and I love the battery tools in general. Just a little FYI. ... show more

  • Jet engine in hand
To be upfront, I haven't used my blower outside yet but after charging it and turning it on inside, it blew the table mates off the table the throw off the sofa, wifes hair all over her head and moved the drapes around pretty good inside while standing about 6 feet from all of them. In my opinion, one may need a big grip to operate this tool and it does have a nice bit of weight to it. The quality is definitely there and the power will force your hand back a little while in use. Can't wait to use it out on the lawn, my wife ordered this after stating sweeping the clippings made her exhausted. ... show more

  • Powerful blower
My use of the blower is usually only five or 10 minutes at a time. So I can use the unit several times before recharging. It has lots of power and is pretty quiet compared to my corded electric blower. Many of the reviews imply that this is a two-speed blower. Mine is continuously variable and I suppose they all are but this was unexpected. I rarely need to use it at full power. 25-50% power seems to take care of dry leaves and pine straw with no problem. My only issue is that it has a hair trigger. It's hard to keep a continuous speed without using the trigger lock, which I do now most of the time. I kinda wish the trigger was designed differently, somehow. ... show more
