Nice and smooth with good quality mouse. I am a dental CAD designer and I need something smooth for speed and accuracy. This does the trick. It does have an odor other's complain about...like rubber?     • Artifical/chemical odor when washed/new
First off, I love this desk mat, it's been over a year since I bought it (940mm x 400mm size). I owned the smaller version before this, the one that's about 12" tall, versus this 16" tall one. I switched because I wanted to have a little more Y-distance on my mouse while. As others have said, the smell coming from it when new is atrocious, but as others have said, it does fade after a few months. After buying this desk mat, I've learned that I apparently have eczema, and it's triggered by whatever this mat is made of. There's a certain type of wood finish (I've also found it on a pair of drumsticks and the handle of a knife) that does the same thing to me, and I'm trying to track down whatever chemical triggers these outbreaks. Big Pro: you can easily machine wash this mat on low or delicate and then air-dry it to have it feel brand-new again. Big Con: when you do that, it brings back the awful smell (and in my case, apparently eczema outbreaks), which took at least a couple months to go away again. I don't know if this is a thing with other desk mats, but it's a drag for me. Overall, this mat is thick, rugged, durable, and overall great quality.     • Liked it so much, I bought one for my office...
This works great for both my desk at home and at the office. It has a smooth and sleek surface that doesn't snag. I've had both mats for over a year now and they're still both in great shape. No visible fraying around the outside edges which is great considering how much I use them both. The only downside is the rubber odor. The surface smell does go away after some time, but the rubber smell still --slightly-- lingers even a year later if I lift the mat from my desk. But ONLY when I lift the mat... ... show more

I like to keep a clean desk and this helps achieve the look I want. I love how thick it is, I love how big it is, I love the feel of the fabric, and I love the stitching on the side. I love corsair and just need some lighting towers now to complete my look of corsair mouse (scimitar, love it), corsair keyboard (k70 rgb, love it), corsair mousepad (this one, love it), corsair water cooling (h110i, love it), LS100 starter kit (don't use it on my monitor, but just line my desk with the lights, LOVE it), and lighting node pro (for lighting inside my computer, absolutely love it). If anyone from corsair is reading this, never change. I love your brand and will keep buying Corsair. Big, but not the entire desk. *I needed the size for the mouse to scroll across 6 monitors for gaming, school and work. *The material turned my mouse into a precision instrument. Can not believe the increase in precision/accuracy from other pads. *Quality is five stars. * The 5mm thickness is great. You have to use it to believe it. *Edges are sewn so tight, you can't see they are stitched. *The pad does not move on my plexiglass desk; I am rough on my keyboard & mouse. * The pad does not seem to fray. My cat already scratched it; nothing happened. * It lays flat right out of the box. * Excellent value for what you are getting in features and quality. * I would buy this brand and this pad again.     • Considering buying another one!
I am very happy with this oversize mouse pad. It is thick, sturdy, and appears well made. It remains to be seen how long the cloth top lasts before wearing down, but I am good with it now. I am not a hard core gamer, I bought this mainly because I got sick of running off my mouse pad, and to disguise the unsightly worn out surface of my desk. I have bought other gaming brands smaller thinner versions and they curled at the corners over time. This is thick enough that I don't think it will be an issue. I have an L shaped desk and am seriously considering buying a second Corsair MM350 for the other side! ... show more

    • Cant get rid of the rubber smell
The graphic looks great and the mouse flows smoothly over it. Its large enough to cover the front of my desk. No issues with the mouse skipping or being "choppy". Now the bad: I can't use it for more than 1 hour at a time. In fact, I forgot about it and had it outside for nearly 2 weeks. It came back in and within an hour my eyes started to water. I am not prone to eye watering, but this thing has a way to flush anything from them. I tried to Frabrease it, Dryer sheet in a plastic bag, and lying out in the sunlight (Rubber up) for nearly 2 weeks. No good. It still has an Oder that won't go away. I'm outside the return window (My fault-I forgot about it) but I will not be buying another rubber backed mouse\desk pad. Bottomline: It seems to be well made and the mouse glides. If you use this outside, it may work for you. In an enclosed room....be prepared to take a lot of breaks. ... show more
