This is a massive unit...it heats and controls properly and did i mention its a massive unit...the trays are a bit flimsy but sufficient tod o the job and you use 100% of the tray area and i put 10 pounds of potatoes on 3 trays...that left 13 trays for othr things...the surface area is ideal for production work and it seems to evenly heat the trays...i didnt notice any"moist" spots...its the best bang for the buck i have found...if it holds up well it will be the deal of the century...we shall see... ... show more

I received a non working product. I contacted the seller, and offered instead of a refund, I'll fix it with them. They sent me the part, and I spent 3 hours fixing it. I requested a partial refund for the time I put in. They never gave it. When I asked again I was told the refund would be after I purchased the product again. Which I did! The unit went out after about 10 months. It was a great dehydrator so I purchased another one and the new one is even better. And believe it or not the company gave me a refund on the old one. I reserved comment until after multiple uses, and am now ready to render my verdict. I’ve used the dehydrator at least 3 times, and processed batches of different sizes. Placing my oven thermometer in different locations within the drying chamber where I could read through the glass window, I took readings with each batch. Set the temp at 90(C) for beef jerky today and the temp never got above about 60(C), which translates to 138(F). Previous fruit batches were equally “off.” Return window has passed, and I’m not sure I’d have gone to the trouble of returning product regardless. But I cannot in good conscience recommend this dehydrator to potential buyers. It is of sturdy construction, and is plenty roomy. I will likely use it in future only as a proofing oven for breads and doughs. Please research your purchases thoroughly. I suspect there are dehydrators available that are both more affordable and more reliable than this one. ... show more

    • It’s does the job in less time , food comes out dried the first time .
I used it to dry beets to make beet powder. Next I will dry onions to make onion powder. It has the power to dry Fruits and vegetables in a reasonable amount of time . So I give it a thumbs up for me .
