abunda_amazon_reviews The Coleman Griddle is pretty bad. At first glance you won't be able to tell that you've made a mistake with your purchase, you really wont. But after you use it a few times you'll come to realize that the griddle is not very good. I purchased this griddle to take camping and loved that fact that it nestled inside the portable stove from Coleman. I was eager to use this to cook some omelets, fry some thinly sliced meat and cook some pork belly. Although the overall construction seems like it would last, the abysmal non-stick coating that Coleman decided to use on this overpriced hunk of aluminum is horrible. The eggs, stuck, the omelets got stuck and by the time the pork belly was on the griddle, this "non-stick" coating began to come off. Didn't realize that the "non-stick" coating meant that the coating does not stick to the griddle. I really thought it meant that food would not stick to the pan. After washing the pan for the 2nd time, it looks like the photo you see here.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2015;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Non-Stick Coating Sticks Worse than Glue to Food but Flakes off the Pan;;Xcal12;;;We used this only once and look at how the coating came off the griddle. On top of being a big waste of money, I now realize we must have ate all that coating that came off into our scrambled eggs! VERY disappointed I spent the extra money on this. It also has very short sides and you are constantly battling to make sure bacon grease doesn't go off the sides.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2016;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Waste of money! Coating comes off in your food;;j. bailey;;;Beyond disappointed! We've used our old Coleman stove for literally decades and decided this spring to upgrade to a newer Coleman Triton series propane stove. We were camping in Maine last week and brought the stove and this griddle. The stove is awesome! The griddle is definitely not awesome. We used it and quickly realized that the stove runs hot, so after our first use (with no problems for pancakes), we made sure to always have the burners on low when using the griddle. We used the griddle for hotdogs and after cooking, there were marks left behind on the griddle surface. It looked like either the hotdogs left some residue or the non-stick coating had come off. We figured it probably couldn't be the latter, and that once we washed it the marks would come off. Unfortunately, the marks were still there after washing. Still banking on Coleman quality, we figured maybe when we get home and can do a better than "camp clean" job the marks would go away. No such luck. Once we got home and washed it, it was apparent that the coating had indeed come off where the hotdogs were. I called Coleman today and the representative was very friendly, but said that there is no warranty on parts. What?!?! I didn't realize that a griddle would be considered a part, but alas it is. She told me that the griddle can not be used under high temps and that was probably why it happened. That's not how we were cooking, so I disagree, but she couldn't do anything other than offer for us the opportunity to purchase another griddle at 25% off with free shipping. That would mean that we would be spending more money on a less-than-quality griddle than we did for the actual stove. No thank you! I was very disappointed that a brand like Coleman, who usually has quality products, would fall so short with this griddle.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2016;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Sub-par quality at best - very disappointed after 1st week of use!;;S. The finish also started coming off while we were cooking despite using plastic utensils. We tried to clean it and couldn't get it clean and the finish continued to flake off. Horribly disappointing for a Coleman product, since we have their stove and other gear and it has always been great. I'd return it if I could. Mind you, the only things that were in contact with the griddle were pancake batter, a wet paper towel, and a plastic spatula for flipping the pancakes.
