    • A good system that can you get organized
I'll be honest, at first I wasn't a fan of this cable system. It just seemed like an overpriced hype. It comes in small plastic bag without tips for use, and the video really doesn't give many ideas either. It really only emphasises keeping cords organized, not how they can used in more versatile ways. If you don't have many magnetic surfaces in your home, I would recommend purchasing the set with the base, unless you can find a metal bar cheaper, or around the house to save yourself the extra $10 about. So long as a magnet can stick to it, it will work. Though these clips are a bit expensive, costing about 2.50 each depending on which you buy, they are worth it. They are made of silicone and have a slit in the middle to attach directly to a cable. So even when using the cable, headphones, etc, you don't have to worry about forgetting or losing it somewhere (so long as you don't forget the cable itself, that is.) The magnets are strong, and will not come undone by accident. Because they have magnets, you are able to clip a headphone cable to your shirt collar, even a look on a backpack strap. Once done listening to music, you have the clip ready to go. Had what I just mentioned been the only benefits of these cable keepers, I would never recommend buying them. However, when used with the metal base or other surface, you can do much more. Now, the package with the metal base doesn't include double stick tape or other way of attaching it to a vertical surface, at least mine didn't. There is a rubber rectangle, but that's meant to be used on flat surfaces, adding friction to keep the base or cables from sliding. The base ways less than 2 ounces, so what I recommend doing is buying the velcro Command strips used for heavier photos. I recommend this instead of double stick tape for two reasons: First, they remove cleanly. Second, you can place velcro strips around your house, creating multiple mounting points that you can move the base around to. The side of your desk, nightstand, anywhere a cable will be used, even in your car so the cable won't slip between the seats. This way, you don't need multiple bases if you have limited metal surfaces. Yes, the downside is that you may have to fetch the cables away when moving between mounting places, but it is a way of making it more versatile. If you have the money to spend, I would recommend getting this system. There's a lot you can do with them if you get creative. ... show more

I love, love, love these! The magnetic is very strong and these work great for securing cell phone chargers and other small cords. I just wish there were an XL or XXL for thicker laptop cords, etc.

    • Great Product in Theory But Fails as an Organizational Tool for Numerous Cables
This product is fantastic if you are only using it for one cable. It even works well when the magnetic cable ties are attached to the base. However, I need something that will keep several different cables neatly separated in a bag. This is not the product for that. I have four cables that I need to keep neat in a small bag that I carry in my backpack. The problem occurs when I wrap each of those cables with one of these ties and drop them in the bag. As soon as I reach in to pull one out, the magnet is so strong that it attracts the metal on another cable and that comes out with the intended cable. Or, worse still, the magnet on one tie attracts the magnet on another tie and either one or both ties come apart and my neatly wrapped cables come apart. Magnets sound like a good idea in theory but they just don't work if you are trying to keep several cables neatly stored and separate from one another in a tight space. If your intention is to just wrap one cable and not bring it into contact with another cable wrapped with one of these ties, you should be fine. They also work well when used with the base to organize cables on a desk or tabletop. But, I was looking for something to keep my mess of cables organized in a small space. This simply is not the answer for me; I will keep looking. I am giving it two stars because I found these do work very well for securing headphones to my shirt when running; however, for the price they should do a lot more than that. ... show more
