abunda_amazon_reviews As a huge ginger chew fan, I wanted to compare Chimes and Gin-Gins for anyone who may be curious and trying to decide between the two. Size: Individual Gin-Gins are a little larger than Chimes. Texture: Chimes are slightly less chewy than Gin-Gins. They don't stick to your teeth quite as much and are easier to get out of the wrapper. All in all, the two candies are pretty similar in texture - a chewy ginger candy dusted with something like powdered sugar. Ingredients: Identical - ginger, cane sugar, and tapioca starch. Taste: This is the important one. Chimes are much milder and sweeter than Gin-Gins, which have some spicy ginger heat. If you prefer a subtle, gentle candy, go with Chimes. If you're looking for a stronger, sweet-hot ginger flavor, go with Gin-Gins. Families would probably find Chimes far more suited for sharing with younger children.
