abunda_amazon_reviews As a former long distance runner, I have worn all sorts of running belts and packs for water over the years. Camelbaks and other bladder packs are a huge pain to keep truly clean and don’t grab me as particularly sanitary; standard water bottles are bulky and often flop about in their holders with each step. Fuel Belts have the right idea - smaller bottles in multiple spots on their specifically designed belt. The Buddy Pouch offers the same small bottle as the Fuel Belt, about 7 oz, but there is only one bottle to quench thirst - drink wisely. So why is this a good idea? I am no longer running marathon distances that require quarts of water, but rather, I am running relatively short distances, rarely requiring a water break, yet sometimes it’s darn hot outside and a few swigs helps finish the run. So the size doesn’t bother me too much. And I think it’s necessarily small because if it were a heavy larger bottle it would bob around and possibly weigh too much and stress the magnets. The pouch itself is clever. The magnets are very strong, and I love the fact that I can attach this to whatever I’m wearing as long as pants, shorts, or a phone belt are involved. In a perfect world this little plastic bottle would instead be made of a dual layered steel like Hydroflask. Then the water would be truly refreshing and cold. This magnetic Buddy Pouch allows her to keep just enough water with her discreetly under her shirt, even when she doesn't have pockets. The hot afternoon sun of Florida is no place to be if you don't have a way to stay hydrated. It’s not super comfy worn in front so I wear it in the back and there have been times the entire thing fell off when I grabbed the bottle. The small Flipbelt bottle seems to work better as it’s slighly smaller than the pouch. Even on really hot days, I can take two of these and have enough water for a couple of hours hikes and because I can freeze them and drink slowly, the water stays nice and cold. I used this with a running belt that's 2-2 1/2" wide & it worked great with NO bouncing even when full. I love the flexibility this gives to add water to any belt that works well for you.
