abunda_amazon_reviews Well designed and well-finished. A carry-on this expensive should come with a Briggs luggage tag I would think. But it doesn't. A bought this for the pro-grade caster wheels since I pack books for business that will weigh a lot. I needed a carry-on that would roll smoothly even with a lot of weight. And with the tiny international size restrictions, having a case that will expand is a must for added capacity when allowed. I really like the flat mattte/pebble finish. It will not show scratches as much. I bet most new cases will go this direction. ----------------------- UPDATE: 4/17/2019 Interior screws mounting the wheels have stripped and fallen out. One of the wheels jammed and will not roll. The handled won't stay up and in place while in use. This is primarily a carry on, and has only been gate-checked a few times. The case is not as solid as first appeared. I will be bringing to a Briggs authorized repair shop to see what they will do with the famous Briggs "As simple as that" warranty. However, I expected quality $500+ quality to preclude needing to use a warranty for a simple carry-on spinner. Stay tuned...;;Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2017;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Solid case;;Allen;;;I bought this suitcase about six months ago because it met my basic needs and because of B&R’s reputation/good reviews. I wanted a hard sided suitcase for the extra protection because I often bring home delicate souvenirs on my travels. I wanted a very light weight suitcase because I am incapable of travelling light and, with all the weight restrictions, every ounce matters. An integrated lock is important because the TSA was making a regular practice of cutting off my padlocks. To transport all my lovely souvenirs, I wanted an expandable suitcase with the expansion mechanism between the wheels in order to maintain balance. My old Delsey expanded at the front and fell over whenever the expansion was deployed. And finally, I needed four smoothly rolling wheels to make my 49.999 lb load easier to roll through airports, train stations, hotels, what have you. This B&R Simpatico Spinner is of sturdy construction and feels like it can survive whatever the airlines have to dish out. It meets my first four criteria very nicely. But sadly, when it comes to rolling the packed suitcase pretty much anywhere - smooth surface, bumpy surface, carpet - it spins around so that the handle is facing forward like a two wheeled suitcase. Furthermore, because it is awkward to keep it at your side in that position, it ends up tipping forward and and then you roll it behind you on two wheels, just like a two wheeled suitcase. If I hold on with both hands I can manage to keep it rolling at my side but that makes for sore wrists on a long trip. But c’mon, really? Unfortunately, there is only one way to know how good the wheels are on a suitcase, and that is to pack it full and take it somewhere.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2018;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Disappointed;;Amazon Customer;;;This is the largest size available for check-in and has an amazing amount of room plus the ability to expand and then collapse extra packing room. We unboxed this Suitcase with much excitement since we had read the reviews including Consumer Reports and had high expectations. However, as we opened the suitcase our excitement soon started turning into disappointment. The first, noticed by my wife, was there was no internal pockets to put small items into. The next this was the zippers seemed to feel flimsy and would constantly snag unless opened or closed at a snails pace. Then the last thing which was the decider to send back, the expansion brackets on each side. These were quite weak that it didn't really take much weight for them to collapse down and as such would likely become weaker with each use. For almost $600 this Suitcase should be virtually bullet proof. It really doesn't even meet this reviewers standards given for less than 1/3 the price I can get a similar Amazon Basics one without the bells and whistles and with pockets.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2020;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Looks good but too many weaknesses for price;;Ian Farrell;;;Great looking and had enough room for 4 night stay (with help from an additional personal carry on backpack).
