I got this for two main reasons — to use with my laptop, for Zoom meetings, and as a speakerphone for regular phone calls. Overall I like the unit quite a bit. I'd say somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Ease of use is definitely a 5. Value is a 5. Sound is closer to a 4, I'd say. I tried this out both connected to my phone as well as to the laptop, with me speaking and with my wife speaking. Somehow it sounded a bit better with her voice than mine—when I was speaking through it and she was in the other room with her phone she said it sounded a bit hissy at the end of some of my words, and I sounded far away. When she was speaking through it and I was on the phone in the other room, it her voice sounded excellent to me, both in terms of clarity and closeness. We also tried it with a Zoom meeting, with the unit connected to my laptop, and we had the exact same experience—with me hearing her very clearly when she was speaking into the Luna, and her having minor complaints when I was talking into it. So maybe it works better with voices with less bass? Anyway, I was and am pleased with the overall sound quality and will definitely continue to use it. I especially like it for Zoom, because I'd prefer not to wear headphones or earbuds for my meetings, and the sound from my laptop isn't really loud enough, and those things become irrelevant with this external speaker/mic unit. Connecting it to devices is super easy. It comes with a bluetooth dongle thing that plugs into a USB port on the laptop, and when I popped that into my laptop, it took about 3 seconds for the computer to set it up (Windows 10 machine). It just worked, no troubleshooting necessary. The dongle stores in a tightly fitting compartment in the back of the unit. Easy to remove, but doesn't seem like it'll fall out—that was a thoughtful bit of engineering. I tried connecting it to my phone with the included 3.5mm cable, but it didn't sound very good that way—a bit crackly and just not clear enough. Bluetooth was WAY better, and it took 2 seconds to pair with my Samsung phone. I'm very happy with the bluetooth option, and like that I can answer and hang up the calls with the button on the unit, so I can just leave the phone there on my desk and not have to pick it up to answer the phone. The buttons on the unit are easy to use, and clearly labeled. When you're talking on the unit, if you need to mute it for a second, you can hit the mic button, and the LEDs glow red to let you know that it's muted. I like that visual cue. I haven't tested out the noise canceling feature, but there's a button for that, too, and I like that there's the option to use that feature or not depending on the circumstances. The Luna comes pre-charged so you can use it right out of the box. Once the unit has been powered on, you can give the power button a quick touch and the LEDs will light up, showing how much battery power remains. For my unit, 4 out of the 5 LEDs lit up, so it came 80% charged. That's a nice touch because it's always a bit of a bummer to have to charge whatever new gadget you got for 6 hours when you really just want to take it out of the box and test it out! One complaint I have, which would be super easy for the manufacturer to remedy, is that the manual is unnecessarily small. I included it in the first picture I uploaded. It could be double the size, and so much easier to read, and still fit in the box. I know very few people read the manual, but it actually contains good info on how to connect it, a very clear diagram of the various buttons, etc. Given that manuals these days are often super crappy, I was overall quite pleased with the quality of the manual—I just wish it were bigger. ... show more

Latest update: their customer service ream contacted me, and they are very responsive. Following their instructions to see if it will fix the issue. They said they’d refund or send a replacement if the instructions didn’t fix the issue. It definitely is a very nice, well-constructed product when it was working, so I definitely hope this works. Updated: The phone often doesn’t work. It’s made calls frustrating. That’s unacceptable. The build quality is great (aluminum, not plastic), and it looks nice. More importantly: so far, it’s performed exactly as needed. I have a lot of white noise going in my place, and would have to turn my various fans and ac off when taking or making calls. The voice AI (you have to enable the option) seems to do a great job filtering background noise, as no one seems to have had an issue hearing me. Also as important: I can hear the person clearly. Sometimes I’ve turned a fan off just to concentrate more on a call, but that was personal preference, and not a shortcoming of the speaker; it’s loud enough. This little speaker is exactly what I needed while working from home! Everyone always complained they couldn’t hear me if I used my laptop speakers and it was difficult to hear others on zoom or teams calls. With the Luna speaker, the sound is amazing and so clear.     • Excellent and Versatile Speakerphone Device
Based on my research and then after testing this device, the eMeet Luna is the best bang for the buck out there on a speakerphone device. I like to use it plugged directly into the USB port on my laptop. No need to worry about the battery running out or wireless signal getting interrupted. But I love that if I want to go on the road, I can pop the USB dongle into the laptop and go wireless in just a few seconds. I also love that I can have this plugged into the USB slot and working with my computer while ALSO being connected to my cell phone via Bluetooth simultaneously! No need to switch. Just stays connected to both! Take a Teams all on my computer? No problem. Cell phone rings? No problem. Back and forth all day with no issues! Sound quality out of the puck speaker is excellent for calls. With the Bluetooth connection to my phone, I even played a few Spotify tunes. It is possible in a pinch, but it won't win any awards for music fidelity. Better to stick with a speaker made for music. Still, it's handy if you need it, maybe to play a youtube video or something. I do have Voice AI enabled but after testing with another party on a Teams Call (both of us had the eMeet Luna), neither of us can tell when the feature is enabled/disabled. I have a fan running in the background and regardless of the Voice AI setting, you can't hear it. The fact is, the noise cancellation seems to be good either way. The buttons on the Luna are very functional and well laid out. I appreciate having the call answer/hang up button. Also the large "mute" button right in the middle with the volume buttons on each side is very handy. The visual indicators for mute and volume level are also well thought out. The best compliment for the microphones (there are 3 arranged in a triangle) is that folks on the other side of any call think I'm talking into a wired headset. When testing with another person who had the Luna over a teams call, we both spoke free and easy in full-duplex (at the same time) and it was as if we were in the same room together. We both sounded great from a microphone pick-up / speaker output standpoint. I review products and write product review articles in my spare time. But I bought this one on my own and I love it! So I thought I would throw this quick and dirty review out there. Hoping it helps someone save some $$$. If anything changes in the long-term, I'll update the review. ... show more
