Easy to setup. Bluetooth over-rides hearing aid. When music stops hearing aid back on. No passthru while in music to hear around. If feature there in would be 5 star.

Kept shutting off whenever the phone's bluetooth timed out. The supplier offered a refund. I declined, since I genuinely wanted a working HA. They sent me a new pair- works exactly the same. You will need to clutch your smart phone in one hand and keep pressing the app for as long as you want the HA to not shut down. Otherwise, it does work somewhat - if you can get used to the occlusion of semi-closed domes, which makes talking uncomfortable. The program modes are ok when it does work ... show more

Thankfully the seller provided a link to the user guide. It's impossible for me to read the tiny print in a paper guide but easy to read on my iPad. I carefully read the entire guide. I charged them overnight, downloaded the app to my ipad (an old Pro still on ios 12) and then gave these earbud styled hearing boosters a whirl. They were easy to pair via Bluetooth with my iPad. I can use them as regular Bluetooth earbuds but then when not connected to Bluetooth they function as amplifiers. I noticed that after several minutes of no audio coming from the iPad the Bluetooth connection ended automatically and a voice said "disconnected". Most if not all of the changes and adjustments evoked voice explanations. At this point I explored the app. There were settings for how much amplification I wanted but there was also a hearing test so I did the test and I'm glad I did because at the end of the test results there was an option to set up the aids based on my test results. So that was that. The charging case holds and charges the aids and it charges itself too while plugged in to a power source. In the guide it says a fully charged case is good for five charges of the earbud/aids. Each earbud has a tiny blue light indicating charging or fully charged. The case has its own row of tiny lights indicating its charge level. Each earbud has a small raised button of sorts, it's not really a push button but a raised shape that only needs to be touched to activate. It turns the buds on and off and adjusts the level of amplification. Last but not least these things are comfortable. I tried this type of Bluetooth earbuds before, all inclusive in-ear style, and did not like how they felt but these feel good. My ear openings must be on the small side because I have a hard time keeping earbuds in place, they do not fit right, but these fit nicely. I have not tried these outside of my apartment. My hearing loss is minimal so I don't actually depend on hearing aids to get by. But while I wore these I coUld hear my fridge more and also other noises in the building. And I could hear my own voice more clearly when I spoke which I think is a good thing because my voice can definitely use some tweaking and these little gems will help. I have tried a few other types of OTC hearing aids and none were anything I'd want to use but these are keepers. I am looking forward to trying them out in a social situation. I feel like I now have a highly useful multifunctional device and I hope they last a long long time. ... show more

    • Definitely did not work as expected
I was hesitant about ordering these hearing aids, and now I know why. 1. They have a very short Bluetooth range 2. They constantly shut on and off again, to the point where it was driving me crazy 3. There's no way I can turn up the volume on phone calls, so I could barely hear the caller, which is the main reason why I chose Bluetooth in the first place 4. No matter how many times I changed and adjusted the earpieces, I just could not get a comfortable fit. Maybe these are good for someone with a mild hearing loss, but unfortunately I'm not one of those people. ... show more

This is a good mid-range hearing aid / amplifier with the best feature for me: a hearing test in the app that can be used to customize these! It works quite well and out-performs in their class because of that tuning. The key is always to get a good fit, because otherwise even the best hearing devices will produce feedback whistles or rumbles. Oh, i also used them as a Bluetooth earbud for streaming videos, which is convenient so i dont have to swap them out, though you do have to choose either amplifier or bluetooth mode. I didnt try using them with my phone. The run-time is at least all-day on an overnight charge with no sign of getting weak, and the devices can be placed back in the holder for additional run-time. ... show more
