Im on the 3rd BioBidet in our household in 5 years. These things DO NOT LAST. You'd expect some quality in the electrical parts of these bidets given that you're paying 300$ and that can't be for the cheap molder plastic housing. But all have failed in the same area: the water tip no longer extended and started making noise. Warranty is non-existent as we never got any reply to any of the mails. Anyways, we ended up buying the BioBidets because of the price but at this point we might as well have bought a full Toto setup. Just look at warranty before you buy. Most of the reviews on here are from people that just got it and they're happy with their behinds being sprayed with warm water, but when that stops and there is no recourse, all you're left with is a bill for a new one, frustration and more garbage to throw away... ... show more

    • Cause bath room light flicking

purchased and Installed the unit in bath room after adding an outlet. after that, we immediately found that the unit causes bath room light flicking. after a quick google search, we found that some customers experienced similar problem as well. Because we can't use the Bidet toilet seat on the same wire with bath room light. A dedicated wire is required. for sure, this information was not mentioned in the product user manual at all. Thus had to spend extra expenses to get the 2nd outlet installed. doubled the work and cost. Bidet claimed to ensure customer happy. Thus we contacted them. while their response shows more concerns. Here is the quote from their customer hot line "this product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit. In other words, a dedicated circuit. When a unit is not installed on a dedicated circuit, you can experience flickering lights when attempting to use the product". this statement might be able to drive away customers without engineering background; however not an experienced hardware engineer. According to Wiki, in the US, the nominal voltage is 120 V, with variance allowed from 114 V to 126 V (±5%). it doesn't mean a dedicated outlet. I suspect it is a design issue due to without sufficient noise blocker for the AC line. obviously Bidet knows the issue but didn't fix it or noted in the installation guide. Bidet should be responsible for the extra efforts customers put due to their design; certainly they didn't make the promise to keep customer 100% satisfaction. certainly not that easy for DIY. I absolutely LOVE this thing, and am buying 2 more for the other toilets in my house. The installation is straight-forward and fairly easy. Very few tools required (I would reccomend a plumber's wrench, but outside of that, really not much else is needed). The operation is straight-forward and simple, and best of all: My mother in law is TERRIFIED of this thing, and will not go near it, so naturally I will be installing one on all of my toilets and removing toilet paper as an option from the house. 5-stars.     • Good with a few flaws

The good: - heated seat is really great - seems to do a decent wash job - easy to use - easy to install if you have an available GFCI outlet, although the supplied hose is short. The not-so-good: - the level controls for water and air pressure make very little difference (no noticeable difference at all for air pressure). Even on the lowest setting water pressure is almost painfully high on 'Cleansing'. The pressure setting does work on 'Auto'. - the drying function seems fairly useless. Even after two cycles expect to still use TP. - does not remember the settings for pressure, so every time it starts on level 3 (out of 5) and we have to turn it down to 1 (see first negative about excessive pressure). Overall I am a bit disappointed but I had high expectations based on the Amazon reviews. I love the concept but this one leaves a bit to be desired. UPDATE 11/03/2016: we have now had this for about 8 months. The seat now has a nasty discoloration happening (see the photo). During this time the heated seat setting has always been on the lowest level of 3 levels, so if it is caused in part by thermal stress then I would imagine it could have been much worse. Starting to look pretty ugly. You can't just install a new generic seat either as it is an integral part with the seat heater. We'll probably be finding out soon how good that 3 year warranty actually is and I'll report back on that. UPDATE 11/03/2016: contacted the support e-mail address and after having me sign an at-home repair waiver, they said they will send a replacement. UPDATE 11/12/2016: replacement seat arrived, so I can vouch for customer service. They replaced just the heated seat, not the whole unit, which is fine, but I did have to sign a release form saying that I would be responsible for the in-home repair. It's possible they would have accepted me returning it to them for repair, but I had insisted they send me a part as I didn't want to be without a functioning toilet, so I never explored that option. ... show more
