abunda_amazon_reviews I bought this knowing what I wanted feature wise, but there is limited documentation on the setup of this drone. Once setup and configured, a beginner will want to tweak the "stick sensitivity" in the config to smooth out the flight, racers will use different values for faster-smoother flight and freestyle will have a separate set. It took me about 3-4 hours to setup and configure with the appropriate SW on my pc. You will need the following sw downloaded: - Beta Flight Configurator - configure drone - BetaFPV firmware file for MatekF411(Legacy) - download from BetaFPV or via Beta Flight (send to cli to set Flight Controller settings) - BLHeli - Configurator (app for Chrome) - Use to correct drivers if you can't get into DFU mode to flash firmware Here is a summary of what I had to do: 1. Open Beta Flight 2. Remove camera to access button to enter DFU mode (hold button down and plug in to PC) - Connect drone via USB Micro-B to USB Type-A on PC (USB cable not included) 2. If DFU mode cannot be entered - download "ImpulseRC_Driver_Fixer" and run while drone is connected and Beta Flight is up, this will typically correct problems entering DFU mode to flash firmware 3. Flash firmware to version 3.5.3 (current version for Latest Model flight controller per BetaFPV website), Level drone horizontally, calibrate and reset settings. 4. Go to BetaFPV website and lookup the CLI Diff for this model and your respective receiver, copy this text 5. Go to CLI tab in Beta Flight and paste into the cli entry (don't worry, you will only see the last line - save) and hit enter 6. Follow binding procedure for your receiver. I had to put my transmitter into bind mode for this drone, hold down a button on the receiver, then connect Lipo to the drone. 7. Make sure your radio is configured for this drone with the appropriate Aux channels mapped for switches (arm, beep, turtle, etc..) 8. Get radio out of bind mode and back to normal 9. Plug Lipo into drone and then USB into computer 10. Connect via Beta Flight and go to the tab to verify the radio sticks and switches move appropriately 11. Setup each Aux channel for the receiver for your switches and move sliders appropriately - you can YouTube videos on Beta Flight setup... 12. Check motors on motor page - recommends no props, I held drone securely and added small amounts of thrust after arming and enabling testing. Verify all motors spin correctly and all ESC's are working. Remap via cli if needed - YouTube video.. 13. Research PID settings - web search for "FPV Drone Basic PID Tuning and Rates" and adjust accordingly I'll come back and edit if I can think of more but this will likely get a beginner started...;;Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great BetaFPV HD whoop with awesome video - setup not super easy, steps below..;;JayG;;/gp/customer-reviews/R3OVNC2MEX4JVG/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07SFH5G94;;;Drone is the best HD 1080 whoop in the market imo. I have done many reputable reviews on drones and drone gear, with years of flying under my belt. I have built hundreds of these. And for me, the 75X was a dud right out of the box, I also bought the 85x, thinking it might be better, and it caught on fire when I plugged a battery into it.I was never able to fly either quads every again without extensive labor. This is not the way they should come out of the box, the motors turning incorrectly , and the list goes on and on. FPV range was terrible. I wish BETAFPV would have been so kind to just sent me a replacement like they said they were going to. , but I never heard back from the again. Just another single drone to make an entire customer happy. Not the type of support I would expect to get from BETAFPV and Amazon. For this is price, they should just send out another drone, and hope this one will not be just another Chinese knockoff. PLEASE HELP BETAFPV I sent the actual drone into a compay that does unbiased, third party reviews. I will be posting their results here If I don't get another drone. Research PID settings - web search for "FPV Drone Basic PID Tuning and Rates" and adjust accordingly I'll come back and edit if I can think of more but this will likely get a beginner started...

Budget fpv flying that will not break the bank
Drone is the best HD 1080 whoop in the market imo. Did a few tweeks on it. XM+ was 3m taped resoldered all wires removed led and wires shaved off led bump stands hot glued XM+ antenas removed dipole antenna resoldered ufl and used LUMENIER MICRO AXII With 3s lipo all up weight is 81 grams. Will report back after I crash it a few times =)

This could be their best one yet... an excellent quad with smooth video! Great job, BetaFPV!
BetaFPV has done it again... this could be their best quad yet. Excellent power to weight ratio, no washouts, and smooth video make this one very easy to recommend! It's my first experience with a Caddx Turtle v2 as well, and it's really nice to be able to watch back my flights in HD! Another great thing about BetaFPV is their support... should something not be right they will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of properly. Very happy customer! Great job, BetaFPV!

Amazing quality but so have some jello warping with FPV feed.
Pros. I have purchased several BNF whoops and this one is my favorite so far for outdoors. Beta FPV has been the most reliable brand for me and all still work perfectly after a year. HD capture cam is perfect. Cons. The biggest is I have extreme jello warping on the FPV cam. I tried redoing the props. Tuning FC. batteries. Antennas. Nothing else I can think of. No other are this bad so maybe mine is just slightly defective. However I still enjoy flying it and for the price and quality otherwise I am happy.

3S battery does not fit
The modification they recommend for their 3S battery doesn’t actually work. The battery is too large even after the frame modification.

Good item
Works great. If you crash it a few times though expect to eventually have to get a new camera lense.

Please replace, do the right thing.
I will start off that I am not a beginner pilot. This is not a threat, this is honesty. Would be nice to hear from them again about maybe a replacement drone.

Great BetaFPV HD whoop with awesome video - setup not super easy, steps below..
I bought this knowing what I wanted feature wise, but there is limited documentation on the setup of this drone. 13. Research PID settings - web search for "FPV Drone Basic PID Tuning and Rates" and adjust accordingly I'll come back and edit if I can think of more but this will likely get a beginner started...
