Outdoor furniture enhances any back yard and is essential for those days when you want to spend time outside without leaving the comforts of home. I have gone through a few sets of outdoor furniture over the years, but one set I still have and still use is Best Choice Products 7-Piece Modular Outdoor Patio Rattan Wicker Sectional Conversation Sofa Set. I have owned and have been using this set for a few years now and it is still going strong. The wicker is still holding up and shows no signs of wear. The cushions have maintained their softness and haven’t faded. I have helped prolong their longevity by keeping this furniture set underneath my back porch cover, which protects from most of the sunlight and from extreme rain. I cannot therefore comment on how my set might look if it was exposed to rain, sun, and other natural elements. The best quality of this Best Choice outdoor furniture set is the comfort and the fact that you can arrange the six chairs any way you like. One arrangement is to place the chairs in a long row. Another option is to create a U shape out of the pieces, although I must caution that if you do this, you won’t be able to seat as many people because your legs will start to hit other people’s legs. You can also separate and arrange the set into pairs of two, so as you can see, there are many options. On the negative side, one issue I have with this set of furniture is that the backs are low, and that means you are not going to be able to kick back and truly relax. I have other chairs for that purpose, so I don’t mind, but this could be an issue for other people. Another thing to consider is that the pieces are free- floating, in effect, which means they are not attached together and will move/drift around while people sit on them. There are clips you can buy for this purpose so keep that in mind. The other small issue is with the cushions. They are not tied to the chairs, and that means a strong wind is likely to send them flying. Still, all things considered, I like the Best Choice Products 7-Piece Modular Outdoor Patio Rattan Wicker Sectional Conversation Sofa Set. It has outlasted my other outdoor furniture and it still looks and feels almost like it did when I make the purchase many years ago. I did A LOT of research before purchasing this outdoor furniture. I reviewed many online sets and visited stores from Crate and Barrel to Pier One to outdoor furniture stores. I really wanted good quality but didn't want to break the bank. I liked that many of the reviews of this set had pics and I could imagine it on my condo deck. I had some space constraints so the fact that multiple people mentioned it was small didn't bother me too much. It arrived right on time in two huge boxes. As I got the parts out of the boxes I was really pleased with the quality of the materials of both the frame and the pillows. The directions seemed simple enough and the nuts/bolts/screws were all well marked. I had read in previous reviews that suggested an electric screwdriver and I was SO glad that I decided to buy one in advance. The one star deduction is for how difficult it was to put together because the nuts didn't fit well with the screws and I ended up stripping a few of them. Because of this issue it took me almost 4 hours to put together. It is definitely a two person job (luckily my 12 year old helped hold some of the pieces). I also had purchased Velcro tape in advance and I Velcro'd the cushions. Very glad I did because they are very slippery. I did purchase the clips to hold it together but haven't put them on yet. As you can see from the pics the set is beautiful and looks amazing on our balcony. All in all I am very happy with the purchase! ... show more

I bought this 7 piece sectional set almost 2 months ago. It fits my deck perfectly and has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor living space. The seating is very comfortable and you can configure the pieces in several ways to accommodate your space. My deck is 10 x 14 and it fits snugly in the corner taking up 7.5 x 7.5 feet using 5 pieces of the sectional. The 6th I have as a separate chair so that I could put my umbrella secured in the corner. I sit outside for hours reading, enjoying my flowers and nature in total comfort. Like other buyers I am thrilled with how easy the cushions wipe off. I have 3 small dogs that enjoy lounging on it as well. The covers are removable and can be machine washed. The only reason I rate it a 4 stars is that the back cushions fall over or blow off with the slightest wind. Like other buyers I plan to use some Velcro to alleviate this issue and it is only a small annoyance. After a hard rain it drys fairly quickly too. I did buy the cover with plans of using it to protect it during off season months. Putting it together was a fairly time consuming but not overly difficult. The instructions were fairly easy to understand once you had all the pieces organized. Definitely buy the clips to keep the sections secured to each other it does make a huge difference. ... show more

    • Good budget set!
This is a great budget friendly set. The base units are sturdy and it was easy to put together with a power screwdriver - but you will need the bit that is shaped like an Allen wrench. The lightweight frames make the pieces easy to rearrange. There are multiple ways to arrange these pieces, so you get versatility with the size of your space. The color is true to the pictures, and it is a nice looking set. Here are the reasons this doesn't get five stars: - It is small - perfect for my family who is all 5'10" and under, but it will be too low to the ground for taller people. - The cushions are NOT WATERPROOF. I used six spray bottles of "Never Wet" from Home Depot on these cushions and they are waterproof for the most part... But they will still absorb a bit of water if they're left flat after a good rain. - After being in the sun for a week, the color is starting to change. For longest life, the cushions should probably be removed when not in use. - There are no clips included to hold the individual pieces together. Because they are so lightweight, you will move them as you sit down or get up. I hope this is helpful! ... show more
