I had no idea how to use dip powder before I bought this pack, but decided to give it a try. Made sure to read the instructions and watch a couple of videos and at first it seemed complicated but honestly its pretty easy. Phase One: apply base and dip nails in powder, wait 20 seconds after each dip before brushing away excess powder. If you're doing it correctly, you shouldn't need more than two dips if you do it right (which means the powder lasts longer!) Dip the base brush in the nail brush saver to keep the brush from building up powder between uses. Phase Two: Apply a coat of the activator, the brush and buff (don't be afraid to really file the product, it's tough). Once you've buffed them into shape, apply a second coat of activator. Dip the activator brush into the brush saver between uses as well. Phase Three: Apply a top coat, wait 20 seconds, apply a second top coat, wait thirty seconds. Tips: Be sure to avoid getting base coat on your fingers as this seems to be essentially powder on super glue, it will be very hard to get out, but will come out after applying a decent amount of acetone. If you do get some of the powder on your skin, do not pick it, you might pick of some of your skin! This stuff is strong. Just work the sides of fingernail with acetone, it'll come out after a while. I'm typing this review less than a couple minutes after finishing up and my nails are rock solid, the top coat is completely hardened and dried, the typing is not doing any damage at all. Applying traditional nail polish usually takes me half a day, I'm not good at it and I'm a perfectionist. This took me thirty minutes on my first try, and like I said, they are rock solid. Traditional nail polish usually lasts me a week tops before they are damaged and I have to fix them again. I'll update the review after a couple of weeks, I go on vacation for a week a week from now, so I'm curious to see how they hold up. I may never go back to traditional nail polish, maybe just for design accents on top. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this dip powder kit! This is not my first time using it which is why I would highly recommend it. The colors are very bright and some are nude your choice . Stop reading and go order a kit!!! :)
