This is a heavy duty blender. Plenty of power with a great motor. Only problem i have is that i like frozen blends. The blade design will not pull down frozen fruit, berries, etc. You have to pulse it over and over and then take it loose and shake it several times and add more water to get things pulled down. This ends up with a smooth but not frozen drink. I dont know how well other smoothie blenders compare,,,yet. (Im thinking about buying a Ninja smoothie blender. You can see the blades bend upward more.) This is a shame, since the rest of this blender is so well made. If you like a smooth but not frozen smoothie then this could be your blender. I have been searching for a smoothie maker, juicer for a looong time! The Beast is the best!! I am frankly amazed at how awesome it is and I've only used it six times! We have a great Ninja blender and I tried a few other types but the Beast is super easy to load, has an automated mix time, and it's super easy to clean! I cannot say enough at how much I LOVE this! I am recommending it to anyone and everyone! So far I"ve just done smoothies but I put carrots in it this morning with bananas, OJ, yogurt, nuts, etc. and everything was perfectly mixed! UPDATE- after a few days the company contacted me and did replace the blade assembly. It is working well now - I will update this review if the problem seems to be resolved long term We loved this blender and used it often, even bought a few extra jars. It stopped working the other day - the LED stays orange when the jar is attached, meaning it is not possible to start the blending cycle. The company has not yet responded to my email request and the Amazon return window is closed. There is no phone number to call for warranty service. Extremely disappointed. ... show more

This blender has turned me into a smoothie person. I never was into them before because I hated cleaning a regular blender and I didn't like a big giant thing taking up real estate on my counter or messing with the esthetic of my kitchen. The Beast looks perfect on my counter and is a breeze to clean. I've been making smoothies daily now and I'm thrilled I found this Beast! I also wanted to say that the company really stands behind their product.
