abunda_amazon_reviews What I like: This machine does a good job of getting my laundry clean and can also handle queen sheets and bath towels (I wash the fitted and flat sheets seperately. For towels, 2 bath towels + 2 hand towels at a time). I wash laundry for 1 on average 4 times a week so this purchase paid for itself right away. I don't need to go to a laundry, I can wash whenever I want and I avoid using the nasty, expensive laundromat machines. I can be at home, also I save on gas by not driving. I have been using this machine heavily for several months now and the motors are still as strong as when they were new. The not so good: My machine leaks from the top edge a little bit when running the spin dryer. I just put a towel underneath to absorb drips. It's not very much and I usually cause an equal amount just moving the wet stuff into the spinner. The agitator will come off if I don't tighten the screw that holds it on every few loads. This happened the first week I used it and it's been a minor routine maintenance issue from the start. The drain pump is flakey. When rinsing clothes in the spinner the pump is inconsistent in draining accumulated water, sometimes it kicks in, other times it doesn't and the spinner gets too full of water to spin properly (if I turn off the spinner for a second then turn it back on the pump will activate and drain the water). This means I need to babysit when rinsing this way so the rinse tub doesn't overfill. It seems that you cannot drain the wash tub and rinse with the spinner simultaneously as well. It is important that the drain hose be elevated for the pump to work properly btw. There is a bit of strategy involved if you're washing more than one load. The fill hose doesn't come with any fittings that would work on any plumbing I've seen here in the USA. After I got some fittings and washers it works very well and fills the tub quickly. See the photos I'm sharing to see the parts I used and how I set it up. There are many different types and sizes of adapters you can use, it depends on the fawcett size and what is available where you buy your parts. I used a GH (garden hose) adapter from a barb kit and an o-ring to secure the flange that came with the fill hose. Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the dripping, the lack of consistency of the pump, and the agitator frequently coming loose. I chose this purchase over a similar but more popular and higher rated brand that was backordered for over 30 days and I couldn't wait that long! There was also a significant price difference with my purchase being the cheaper one. Still, I'm happy with this purchase. From what I've read in these reviews most people are not having the same problems with their washers. If It weren't for these issues this product would be 5 stars.;;March 10, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;A good enough machine but not perfect;;Kat;;;(Warning……..Very long picture heavy review…..get some tea or coffee!!) I’m definitely undecided about this machine but I honestly kinda like it. I mean it beats going to the laundromat spending over $20.00 and sitting there in uncomfortable heat! I live in an older 1940’s townhome apartment with no washer and dryer hook ups so this is a life, time and money saver for sure. But let me get down to business here…… THE MACHINE! The measurements on Amazon are totally wrong. I did the best I could providing pictures using my measuring tape. Please forgive me if some of the pictures aren’t clear, as this was a one woman effort. The length clocks in at about 23 inches. Height is about 26 ½ inches. The width is about 13 inches. THE ADAPTORS You’ll likely need an adaptor so here goes my illustration. A huge shout out to reviewer @Kat who provided pictures of the type of adapter she used. I would have been lost without her pictures! I unscrewed my aerator on my kitchen sink, grabbed my intake hose (the skinny unattached one) went to Ace Hardware, asked for assistance right off the bat. The clerk paged a guy from the plumbing area. When the guy came around, I showed him my aerator, the intake hose along with Kat’s pictures and he said, “I got what ya need. Not a problem”. He checked to see what type and size my aerator was. It turned out to be a male aerator (Yes there is such a thing as male and female aerator). It clocked in at ¾ inches. He connected the hose barb to the intake hose for me.....awesome guy!!! I asked him if I needed all that other stuff in the bag….(refer to my pictures). He said I only needed the garden hose aerator adapter and the hose barb (thick round, bottle cap looking thing) and that was it. He told me if I wanted it to be a bit more sealed, I could use the round black ring looking thing but it was not necessary. (He was right, it wasn’t necessary as I've had no leakage at all). As you can see from the pictures, you take the barb and pull it through the bottom part all the way up till it’s nice and snug. You then remove your aerator as demonstrated in the pictures, then attach the aerator adapter, then screw on the barb attached to the hose. By the way, your original aerator is pretty easy to remove. The whole process was pretty easy. THE PERFORMANCE The washer fits more clothes than I expected. On my first use, I put in 2 pairs of jean material Capri pants, 4 t-shirts, 4 pairs of underwear and 2 night gowns and it did a good job of cleaning them but tangled them badly. Keep this in mind if you wanna wash delicates! According to the instructions, you fill the washer up just a bit, put some of your detergent in and then let it spin to get the suds rolling. Then you start placing clothes in and continue filling it with water to the desired level. Let me tell you, this machine fills up fast so by no means can you walk away. You really need to watch it. The spinner does a great job ringing the water out. It definitely needs to be balanced or you’ll have a jumping machine. The machine is mildly noisy but can get very noisy if the spinner part isn’t balanced. When it’s washing, you can definitely relax for those 15 or so minutes. So that’s a good thing for sure! The built in drain pump leaves a lot to be desired. It’s so temperamental. I mean sometimes it works then sometimes you gotta help it out a bit and that’s what I don’t like. I bought this specifically for the built in pump and I expect it to work 100% of the time but unfortunately it doesn’t. There seems to be problems with it initiating. You kinda have to wiggle the hose a bit to get it started. Once it starts pumping, it does a great job but the initial phase is the most frustrating. Also, the intake hose snout detached near the barb adaptor part so I had to buy some gorilla brand super glue and attach it back. So far so good! THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY Lint is a huge problem. I was stunned by the amount of lint on my clothes once they air dryed. It literally looked like I had mugged and wrestled a couple of muppets. There was definitely no way I could get the lint off with a lint brush. Of course this means, the lint filter is useless. I’m not even sure why it’s there. It never catches anything! You’ll need to invest in a floating lint filter or some lint balls. I’ve provided pictures of the lint balls and floating lint filter I use. As you can see, there are lots of lint balls in the washer……trust me, you’ll need em all! I need to add, I just received my magic chef portable dryer and it does a great job of catching the lint. You might want to invest in a portable dryer…..they aren’t cheap though……starting price is about $200.00 but in my opinion it’s worth it, especially with the lint problem! I’d suggest getting a flat dolly with wheels. I’ve attached a picture of the one I have. It’ll be a lifesaver if you need to move this washer and dryer around. It’s definitely not heavy but it’ll be less labor intensive if you have a dolly. I often need to move the washer around to get the drain pump working and this dolly really helps. I’d also suggest watching several Youtube videos to see what other owners of portable washers and dryers are doing. There’s lots of great tips out there. For example: Clean after each use since there’s a bit of residue left behind. Leave the lids open for a full day after washing clothes to prevent mold and mildew. Tie pantyhose at the end of the drain hose to catch the lint. Or you can purchase lint traps to tie on the end of the drain hose. These are specifically made for portable washers. Use small laundry bags for delicates since tangling is an issue. While spinning, add water to the spinner intake part, as this will help rinse a great deal of detergent out. This way, you won’t have to rinse as long. Some people wash, spin, fill the washer back up with water to rinse the detergent out, then spin adding some water and a bit of fabric softener during the spin cycle. Some people skip the rinse part altogether and simply add water during the spin cycle phase to get the detergent out. My technique doesn’t deviate much from what others suggest. I wash for 15 minutes ( I use small laundry bags for anything delicate like underwear). I start the spin cycle, then add cold water in the spin intake valve to get some of the detergent out. I fill the washer back up with cold water, add some fabric softer and rinse for 15 minutes then spin again, sometimes adding a bit of cold water during the last spin cycle phase. No matter what, there will always be a bit of water trapped in the intake hose and drain hose so please be careful when you're finishing up and taking the hoses out of the sink, bathtub, bucket etc. It's pretty easy draining the trapped water in the intake hose. Just detach from the sink, detach from the washer and hold it up over the sink, bathtub etc. The drain hose is another story. You'll have to nearly put the drain hose at ground level to get the trapped water to drain. This gets pretty annoying. I push the washer to the top of my stairs, then set a gallon bucket on one of the lower steps and I try to get the drain hose as straight as possible and this usually does the trick. Once again....the dolly comes in hand. Initially I was doing laundry in the kitchen and draining water in a gallon bucket but this became way too labor intensive. Gallon buckets full of water are heavy and when you have to constantly dump water out, you get tired quick. I decided to go with the bathtub method. Thank God my bathroom sink's aerator was the same as my kitchen sink's aerator. Phew!!!! I tied a stocking to the end of the drain hose to catch the lint and let the dirty water drain in the bathtub. I like this method better. By the way when I got this, I had a very difficult time getting the plastic underneath the lid hood off. I had to pop the lid hood off to get the darn plastic that was underneath. It was a serious struggle. Who the heck wraps an appliance like that!!?? THE CONCLUSION Overall, this is a good washer and dryer. I think it does what it's supposed to do. For it's capacity, (8.8 lbs), I'd say this was perfect for a single person or a couple. I think anything beyond that would require a larger capacity. The stainless steel spinner is a nice added feature. I think there's only a handful with stainless steel spinners! The built in pump leaves me frustrated so this is why I'm kinda in limbo about how I feel overall. If I knew how to get good consistently from the built in pump, I'd rate this 5 stars. Two star deduction for the useless lint filter and inconsistent drain pump! Side note....check this site out to see how much clothes/towels etc weigh. Make sure you add an additional pounds etc for when clothes are wet. I posted the chart below but it's much prettier on the website (can't post anymore pictures since Amazon limits to 20)......http://www.dummies.com/home-garden/home-improvement/cleaning-stain-removal/how-to-get-cleaner-clothes-by-weighing-them-first/ Article Material Weight Clothing Anorak, adult Cotton mix 750g (1lb 10oz) Anorak, child’s Cotton mix 450g (1lb 1oz) Briefs Cotton mix 40g (1–1/2oz) Dress Cotton 150g (5oz) Synthetic 350g (12oz) Jeans Cotton 700g (1lb 6oz) Jumper Wool 450g (1lb 1oz) Synthetic 350g (12oz) Shirt Cotton 300g (1lb 6oz) Synthetic 200g (7oz) Socks Cotton mix 50g (2oz) T-shirt Cotton 125g (4–1/2oz) Household Items Bath sheet Towelling 1,000g (2lb 3oz) Bath-towel Towelling 700g (1lb 8oz) Double duvet cover Cotton 1,500g (3lb 5oz) Other 1,000g (2lb 3oz) Double sheet Cotton 800g (1lb 12oz) Hand-towel Towelling 350g (12oz) Pillow-case Cotton 200g (7oz) Single sheet Cotton 350g (12oz) Tea towel Cotton 100g (3–1/2oz);;September 23, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Undecided but beats going to the laundromat sure!;;Polly;;;i purchased this mainly because of the 5 star ratings.i was not disappointed! works great, after the spin i was astonished at how dry the clothes were. great product.;;March 16, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;i was not disappointed! works great;;That Kathydee Lady;;;Best purchase i have ever made! I posted the chart below but it's much prettier on the website (can't post anymore pictures since Amazon limits to 20)......http://www.dummies.com/home-garden/home-improvement/cleaning-stain-removal/how-to-get-cleaner-clothes-by-weighing-them-first/ Article Material Weight Clothing Anorak, adult Cotton mix 750g (1lb 10oz) Anorak, child’s Cotton mix 450g (1lb 1oz) Briefs Cotton mix 40g (1–1/2oz) Dress Cotton 150g (5oz) Synthetic 350g (12oz) Jeans Cotton 700g (1lb 6oz) Jumper Wool 450g (1lb 1oz) Synthetic 350g (12oz) Shirt Cotton 300g (1lb 6oz) Synthetic 200g (7oz) Socks Cotton mix 50g (2oz) T-shirt Cotton 125g (4–1/2oz) Household Items Bath sheet Towelling 1,000g (2lb 3oz) Bath-towel Towelling 700g (1lb 8oz) Double duvet cover Cotton 1,500g (3lb 5oz) Other 1,000g (2lb 3oz) Double sheet Cotton 800g (1lb 12oz) Hand-towel Towelling 350g (12oz) Pillow-case Cotton 200g (7oz) Single sheet Cotton 350g (12oz) Tea towel Cotton 100g (3–1/2oz)

A good enough machine but not perfect
What I like: This machine does a good job of getting my laundry clean and can also handle queen sheets and bath towels (I wash the fitted and flat sheets seperately. If It weren't for these issues this product would be 5 stars.

Undecided but beats going to the laundromat sure!
(Warning……..Very long picture heavy review…..get some tea or coffee!!) I’m definitely undecided about this machine but I honestly kinda like it.
