I bought this item 2 days before my trip, great material, we drove 1000 miles uphill, downhill, curves, lots of wind and a little bit of rain. When arrived everything was intact, the bag itself had some dead bugs on it but thats it,lol. Great product worth the money.

This cargo carrier was purchased for a family road trip, which included an 11 hour drive. On the first use the stitching tore- resulting in an opening in the front of the carrier. We encountered rain on our drive, so our luggage /clothes were soaked and covered in bugs. We then had to use a large amount of duct tape on the tear (hillbilly rigged so to speak) to make our drive home- with more tears to follow suit. We contacted amazon and were told that we were past the return date for a refund -even though it had only been used once. $100 in the trash. I do not recommend this product! ... show more

We used this on a road trip for extra storage. I have a Toyota Sienna minivan with roof rails but no cross rails.We still tried using the door latches to attach as it seemed more secure than wrapping around roof rails. The slider doors would not work with the door clamps attached and I though my doors were going to break. So after a little trial and error we secured it to the roof rack- logo to the front zipper to the back We arrived at our destination and everything was ok- we ran into very little rain but the cattier was a little wet inside- we put everything in totes so nothing got wet. On the return trip home we ran into a couple pockets of very heavy but brief rain. When we arrived home we found a puddle on the inside bottom of the carrier. Also, everything was covered in a coarse,black, dirt-like debris which turned out to be disintegrated bits of the carrier material. There are now areas of the carrier that are completely see through and if our items had not been in totes they would’ve been soaked and dirty. The tote holds a lot and I was hopeful it would be a win. We are really diappointed ... show more

The media could not be loaded. What a large roof top bag. I’m not quite ready for my trip camping to use this, but we can never fit everything in my small car when we go. The bag is large I set it up just to see how big on top of the car and it will definitely hold a lot of stuff. So excited for our trip and to be able to take more with us!! Thanks to this rooftop carrier, no bars necessary when using it as it has everything you need without bars. Bars may make set up easier though. Good material tough and can withstand the speeds your car goes. It has Velcro and zippers to stay sealed as well as it folds over. ... show more

We took this roof rack on a 19 day roadtrip across and through 8 states. Including Yellowstone and Grand Teton. We experienced all kinds of weather, dirt, dust, rugged terrain, hot, cold... and it held up. Depending on our lodging for the night, we unpacked and repacked this daily, sometimes twice. It fit our huge 12-person cabin tent, 6 duffle bags, sleeping pads, 6 camp chairs and miscellaneous other items. We pushed it to the limit and back again and it went the distance. This thing is rugged, I don't think I could poke through it if I tried. BUT... it rained twice (once when I did a test pack to make sure I could pack what I needed in it) and a second time during the move. both times there was 2+ inches of water inside. We zippered all the way around and fastened the velcro but that did not help. On the plus size, if your items are in the plastic bins from Walmart or Target, they should be fine. We loaded 4 53 gallon bins as well as a fold-able 6ft table and several other small misc items and it still closed. Fasteners did NOT fit my car and had to pull them inside the car (2019 Nissan Rogue Sport) and close the doors on them but, they held very well all the way from Tx to Ga - 1000 miles. ... show more

I had high hopes for this bag, after reading the mixed reviews I decided to take a chance. The inside is HUGE and fit perfectly in my roof rack, The morning of our trip we loaded the bag with our beach items and secured it with the provided straps and hit the road but unfortunately that’s where the happiness ended, 3 hours into a trip to FL and we stopped for gas and noticed the Velcro areas on one side had already started to fray. By the time we arrived the Velcro area that hid the zippers had completely shredded off and part of the interior liner had flaked off and got all over our stuff. We ended up buying ratchet straps to secure our items on the way home since there was a hole in the corner of the bag and we did not want to risk loosing our stuff. ... show more
