  • Solid laptop
I have had this for about a week now. I was having problems with frame rate until I download the Nvidia drivers that I needed. I used the custom imported settings from NVidia on Tomb Raider. Im getting 60 fps on ultra. I recommend doing the same...using Nvidias imported settings for your games...its fine tuned to get the most out of your GTX1050ti. Its also awesome for new PC gamers who don't know much about all those settings and don't like tinkering with it. This laptop is fast too..no complaints there. The only complaint I really have is the game center sometimes force closes when going to open it with the keyboard button. Its an easy fix that I found on Google. Just find the ROG gaming center in the accessories menu and click "stop". Then its good to go. The mouse that came with it is really nice as well. Its super quiet too. I read the reviews about this laptop getting hot and/or the fans being really loud but I haven't encountered any of that. It stays cool and quiet for me. I even bought a base cooler at the same time I bought the computer, thinking that I would need it because of the reviews. I use it just so I can prop the laptop on the blanket on my lap without it over heating...the cooler works great for that. If any issues come up I will update the review. ... show more

  • Great gaming laptop.
I can see why there are some negatives review about his particular laptop, I assure you just a got a lemon. The laptop is fantastic, I received it in two days, got everything downloaded updated and up to 5 games downloaded in one day. Final Fantasy 14 Online is one of them and it looks gorgeous on it. Most importantly it ran great with a couple hiccups but I think it is due to running needing to cool down the laptop. Got a Laptop cooler And it fixed it runs perfect. Back to games also ran Tom Clancy Siege, and it ran smooth no hiccups. Ran FIFA 19 no problems except getting a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to work on it. So overall it runs the best RPG, Shooter was great, love that it came with a mouse, also sports games is great too. Overall laptop qualities are premium, keyboard is smooth tactile, and lights very impressive in the dark. Screen is beautiful. Battery life is horrible 2 hours max maybe 1 and half off charge for gaming. 3 hours at most for web browsing emailing. Not a Work Laptop for sure. If You want that hate to say it but MAC for work. Gaming laptops are in their own class. Its like sports car vs Luxury car. Gaming laptop vs luxury Mac (Where everything is smoothly compatible). I had a Mac for college loved it but got this after I got out and I'm not regretting it. I'm glad I didn't have this for College. Would have never left for class. ... show more

  • Works great for work and play!
I just got this so I can work on the road and also be able to play some games. So far it's been great. The screen is crisp and clear, they keyboard is very easy to get used to. I also love the mouse that came with it. I did have to manually update it to the Windows 10 Anniversary edition, which you should do because it helps iron out a bunch of bugs in the original Windows 10. But once I got that set up I got everything configured how I wanted to. To play Forza Horizon 4 online I had to uninstall the GameFirst app that came with it. I think there's a way to configure it so it'll work nicely but I didn't want to deal with it. If anything goes wrong I'll be sure to update this post. So far I love it though! Nice and sleek, Light and quiet. ... show more

  • Great computer for the money
I did considerable research and found this laptop. The specifications are top notch. You can get a better gaming laptop, but not for hundreds of dollars more. My game list includes Skyrim, Witcher 3, Apex, Eve Online, The Elder Scrolls Online, Gear 2, and others. Every game that I have tried is able to be played on the highest graphics settings without any loss of performance. The screen is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me, is that I am unable to get the built-in microphone to work for Team Speak. I have tried sound settings, and Googling for an answer, but have not found one yet. Others have commented on the fan being loud. While it is noticeable, it is not overly noisy. Also, it has 3 settings (quiet, normal, and overdrive). It also radiates a lot of heat during games, virtual machine operation, and other graphically intensive operations... but I expect that from a gaming computer. ... show more

  • Wow! Amazing Computer!
If I can write a book about this computer I would do it. Amazing computer it is. ASUS did amazing attention to detail. This computer Rocks so far, only had it for a day and half so far. The lighting on key board and mouse is perfect. The keys have a nice touch to them, besides being really quiet. The computer so far has been really quiet, but I have not played any games yet to hear the fans. The color and the look of carbon fiber in the front is awesome. My computer arrived very quick from Amazon. My decision was between this computer and the ACER Predator for 999.99 from Amazon. Very tough decision to makes indeed, but I am happy with my purchase so far. The color on the screen is beautiful too. And the computer a a whole feels very luxurious. Love it, will be playing games very soon on it. ... show more
