This set is well made and really sturdy. The padding is thick in both the soft cushion and the hard plastic shielding. I carefully looked it over and I can tell it’s dependable in protection. I’ve tried it on my average size 4, 9, and 13 year olds and it actually fit all of them! Thanks to the very adjustable strapping. Everything stays in place. My daughter just got roller blades for her birthday and asked for matching protective gears. They fit well and looks great with her new blades. There is also plenty of room for her to grow. She said they are much more comfortable than her previous Minnie Mouse set.

Read the sizing chart. I have 7 and 11 year old boys. I purchased the small and medium. When I first opened them, I thought they looked the same--both wanted Red. However, once I put them on and fitted them...there is a difference. The Medium is definitely too big on my 7 year old. The easiest way for me to tell the equipment apart is by reading the tag. As you can see in the pix, they look almost the same but they fit differently. Both were perfect fits for my sons. As you can see, there's minimal scratches after almost a month of usage.     • Plastic is too thin to offer wrist support

Bought these specifically for the wrist guards so that when my daughter would fall off of her skateboard and land on her outstretched hands, we can decrease the risk of wrist fractures. Unfortunately, the plastic on the wrist guards are way too flimsy to offer any support. It's about as strong as kids plastic cup, about as thick, and definitely has the exact same flexibility. Not something I was looking for. I have zero faith that this will protect my kid's wrists from a fracture. Thankful for Amazon's easy return policy. In regards to the fit, the Medium size fit well for my average sized 8 year old daughter. The elbow pads and knee pads seem well made and were significantly thicker and supportive than the wrist guards. Had the plastic o the wrist guards been this thick, I would have definitely kept them. The colors are otherwise vibrant and there was enough cushioning/padding for comfort. But the thin, floppy plastic on the wrist guard is a deal breaker. ... show more

This is a sturdily built item, with nice cushioning, and will protect your little ones. But, it is on the smaller side, and my 11 year old already finds this quite tight. I bought this in “as new” condition from Amazon warehouse, and it came without one of the wrist protectors. This error is on Amazon warehouse, not the manufacturer. For the price I got it at, it wasn’t worth returning for a refund. Update 06/29/2021: The manufacturer contacted me and offered an apology for the product, based on the poor review. I see the previous review did not clarify who was responsible for the missing parts, so the review has been updated to make it clear it was not the manufacturer's fault. Since taking away stars dings the seller and not Amazon, the star rating is updated to what the product deserves. ... show more

I have purchased several sets of knee/elbow/wrist pads and they are usually too big and do not stay on or too tight and leave marks on my daughter's skin. These were such a perfect fit! I am SHOCKED that all three (knee, elbow, and wrist guards) fit her so well! She is an averaged sized 4.5 year old. They are comfortable to wear and very sturdy and protective on the outer shell. My daughter was a little disappointed they did not sell pink, however she chose the alo black and colored them with paint pens! This protective gear works great. My daughter can put them on herself before she goes skateboarding. I love the netted bag that comes in the box. It is convenient to keep all of the pieces together and in one place while also allowing the pieces to dry out.
