  • Great Gift for Mother's Day!
Rashoxmon here, thrilled to share an excellent review for the Apple Watch Series 3 [GPS 42mm] Smart Watch. A gift that truly hit the mark. This gem graced my mother's wrist on Mother's Day, and it's become her daily companion. From phone calls to music playback and step tracking, it seamlessly weaves into her routine. The ability to stay connected and motivated by tracking steps has turned this watch into an invaluable tool. As a gift, it's surpassed all expectations. The Apple Watch Series 3 has not just adorned her wrist, but also added a layer of convenience and health-consciousness that's truly remarkable. The perfect gift for an individual who is not too tech savvy. ... show more

  • Love my apple watch
I had one that dropped and got shattered on the screen, so I was happy to find the exact replacement. Works great!! Wear it and use it everyday. A great option to your phone all the time. I especially like tracking my workouts and seeing text messages on it.

  • A fantastic watch, with a few minor annoyances.
I deliberated on getting an Apple Watch for a long time. I found it unnecessary and I typically hate wearing watches. However, I am working on bettering many aspect is my physical health and decided to get one. I will start by saying that I love this thing. I opted for a series 3 because the price is significantly lower than more recent models. From what I can tell, battery life and screen size are the chief improvements in the new models. The good: The watch is super convenient for accessing the most used features of my phone, without the need to use my phone. I often don’t have pockets and keep my phone in a bag, so the ability to check messages and answer calls from the watch is great. I love that I can “ping” my phone. I misplace it at the house frequently. I only wish that, like the Find My IPhone app, the ping would sound until the phone is unlocked. The watch integrates with my health related apps perfectly. Anything I need to access quickly can be done; whether it be my activity and sleep trackers or my heart rate tracker. It seems to accurately track my steps, as my phone (in pocket) and watch are generally consistent within 100 steps for every thousand. The screen is easy to see. I don’t have great vision, but have no trouble reading anything. The not as good: The watch has a poor speaker output, when talking on the phone. I Understand that the intent is to use the airpod with this and I usually do, but there are times that I don’t wish to and I would like to be able to hear clearly. Photos require an entire album to be synced. I would love to simply be able to store photos of my choosing. This becomes a bit annoying, since the aspect ratio of the Apple Watch screen is 5:4, versus most photos being 2:3 or 3:4. In order to ensure they view properly, you must crop them in the phone. As a professional photographer, this is annoying to me. The battery life isn’t quite as good as I hoped. I presumed that I would get close to two full days from each charge. I get a little bit more than one day. I am not a heavy user, as much of what I do requires my phone. I get even less when using the AirPods. The music app should be able to play from the watch speakers. AirPods obviously will sound better, but sometimes, I just want to hear my music quietly while working and don’t care so much for quality. I don’t want to have to have my phone following me or put pods in every time. Lastly, the location sharing app, which shares the same icon as Find My IPhone is not super useful. There is no way that I can see that I can use this to find other devices of mine (MBP, my other iPhone, my iPad). From my phone, I can ping all of these devices. It should be easy to equip the Watch with the same capability to do so. In short, I still love this. The issues are minor and nowhere near enough to deter me, but these are things that should be addressed in updated models or the OS, if they have not been addressed already. ... show more

  • Charger
The original charger sent with my watch was getting hot and stop charging. My watch face would stay red. I changed the charger out with a new one and moved it to a different wall outlet. It started charging the correct way. That is why I haven’t returned it. I hope it doesn’t happen again. I really like my watch. Lost my first one😔 ... show more

  • Great but Expectations Too High
I mostly bought this watch to be able to text my family quickly while I was at work at a retail job. For the purpose, it's a pretty great watch. I was 99% sure that I wouldn't need the cellular function, and so far I was 100% right. There are some things about the watch that maybe aren't what I expected, and so I wouldn't get your hopes way-way up if you've never had an Apple Watch before. For one, there's no camera on your watch, so while it allows you to FaceTime on it, it's only going to show the person whatever your phone can see. For two, if you don't have wireless headphones, your phone calls are coming through the speakers when you answer on the watch rather than your phone--just FYI. Additionally, it's kind of amazing how limited in capability apps are on the watch. Not all of your apps have an Apple Watch compatible app, and even when they do, it's very limited what you're able to do or see on them. I mostly use my watch for reading texts, replying back, and checking the time or the weather. You can do most of that through a Fitbit anyway. So if you're like me and you had a Fitbit Charge 2, just appreciate it. You don't have to go all crazy for this. I haven't used the sleep monitor on my Health app, but looking into it, it looks like it just monitors the amount of time you sleep, so I actually just downloaded a sleep app that has Apple Watch capabilities which monitors the depth my sleep based on my heart rate, which is what a Fitbit will do automatically. Overall, I'm not necessarily recommending it to friends or family. They can get just as much out of a Fitbit for a MUCH lower price. ... show more

  • Love my new and first Apple Watch
I used another step tracker for years and only recently decided to try the Apple Watch, mainly for the ability to send and receive messages while I’m gardening. (I fall a lot and now I can text my husband to come help me up rather than yelling my brains out for the whole neighborhood to hear). I linked it to my health app and my diet app and all of the medical info is just wonderful! Steps, heart rate, goals, workouts, etc. I don’t use the sleep function because if I move throughout the night, the watch screen lights up and it bothers me. But that’s ok. I get enough sleep. ... show more
