  • in-depth review
Just a quick background, I did an extensive research between the SE GPS, series 6, and 7 trying to fit my preferences. I've tried Fitbit Charge 5. I will also compare this with my Garmin FR 745 and Garmin Edge. I am a triathlete but not competitive. Display: The SE is really bright and colorful even when the brightness setting is on low. This is a HUGE plus among all the competitors. I love the fact that I can pick up to 12 photos and display it randomly whenever I raise my wrist. It doesn’t attract fingerprints or oil unless I interact it during my run. I rinse the entire watch with water after each day/ exercise. (I rate this 5/5) Battery: It claims 18 hours. On day one I was just wearing it all day at work between 7am to 5pm. Went from 100% to 56% (no wifi on). Plenty of battery left. I don't constantly play with my watch or reply messages since my phone is often on me. I ran for 52 minutes and it took 8% of battery. I biked about 75 minutes and took around 12%. I don't wear the watch when I am home so I can always charge it. The battery is indeed ideal for non-athletic individuals. This is more for fashion and convenience than fitness. At the end of the day, I just don't understand how it can't last for at least 2 days. All competitors have over 3, or been 5 days of battery with around the clock HR and activity tracking (without GPS, always-on display on, altimeter on). Apple has 7 total series of watches so I don’t think they will ever improve its battery. (3/5). Running (outdoor): I was wearing the Garmin 745 on my left and the SE on my right wrist. I ran with my fitbit charge 5 alone a month ago to also compare. As you can see attached, the average pace, avg heart rate, and distance are the same. However, the mile pace for each of the mile is off. It is a heavier watch to run with than Garmin/ Fitbit but that’s ok. The screen only has one page of info and it is just too little in my opinion. (3/5) Cycling (outdoor): I was wearing the watch on my left wrist and a Garmin Edge on my bike. My chest HR strap synced to my Garmin. I went for my usual pre-work workout in the park for a total of 20 miles (see attached photos). Distance and time are pretty close considering I did not start them together. The auto-pause was on-point every time I stop and start at a traffic light. I can never understand the elevation gain in the apple’s app. Avg HR and max HR were almost identical to my surprise. Even the HR graph comparison was very close. I just wish Apple let you interact the map like Garmin does. Avg speed is a bit off for Apple. I never trust the calorie part. Coming from Garmin user, I cannot imagine using an Apple watch as a sole tracking device while cycling because it is difficult and dangerous to look at a watch while going >18mph. (3/5) Sleep tracking: I am comparing it with my Garmin FR 745 and Fitbit Charge 5. Apple wants you to manually set up a sleep schedule so the watch can sense when you are going to bed. Garmin and Fitbit automatically do it without any prior set-up. On Apple, the Sleep start time is correct but the end time does not. It is about 10-15 minutes off for some reason; maybe when I start to snooze from my first alarm, it stops tracking. Apple’s health app shows you the HR map and Respiratory rate but the graphs are awful to look at and not interactive. Fitbit gives more data and graphs but also not let you interact with it. Garmin has everything and you can interact with the map to see almost each minute. (2/5) Apple fitness app: Fair, to say the least. Considering this watch is made gearing towards non-athletes, it is OK. But for me who wants to look at the data by the minute or hour, you cannot view that on the app. Apple limits what they want to show you. Their graphs are also confusing to understand. Fitbit does it better but they also limits how much you can see on the graph. Garmin shows everything. (2/5) Heart rate: here is the disappoint part, it checks your heart-rate every 5-15min depending on if you have been sedentary or you are up and moving around. This is not a "continuous" heart rate monitor. Fitbit does it every 3-4 minutes. Garmin does it every 2 minutes. If Apple does it constantly like when you are exercising, it will burn the battery quickly. As you see attached, garmin has a best app to compare and tracks everything and it can pinpoint exactly which minute your heart rate and pace are and whatnot. (1/5) GPS: it does capture GPS location quickly. Probably quicker than Garmin. I was actually surprised. The map was almost identical with my Garmin. However, I do live in a big city so I can't talk about trail/tree covers. (4/5) Overall, 3/5. I’d recommend it if you are not an athlete. Or someone who just want to have a watch to wear for work (which is me). ... show more

  • The best
The Apple Watch is terrific….cant believe how many things it does and how well. It is obviously an exercise tracker, and it’s also a pretty complete mini phone, with speaker and microphone, and with a screen which pretty much mimics whatever is on your phone. The battery life is great. Putting it on when I get up, and then off when I go to sleep, it barely uses a quarter of its battery power. On the other hand, it will burn up your iPhone in a hurry sending all of that data by the Bluetooth connection. So, good to limit the number of apps on the watch. ... show more

  • I need a sale commission.
I have refered so many people to this product to keep their Apple Watch looking new and not scratched or worse broken. Cheap insurance!

  • Great product
I have bought an Apple Watch on Amazon before and I decided to buy my second one on here again. The watch came with the right packaging and was delivered in about a week. The only thing I would say is the watch came with a few scratches but they are not noticeable until you look closely. So far the watch works perfectly fine and nothing is wrong with it. ... show more

  • Great product!
I love this product but..... Battery life could be better. I was a Samsung phone and watch user for years. I switched to the Apple system and have been very happy. My only disappointment so far has been battery life. I can't use the watch for sleep tracking because it doesn't last longer than a day. If I were to wear the watch all night I would have to charge it first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, I work out first thing in the morning and use the watch for tracking my workout information. Wish this had the same battery life as my Samsung. I can wear that for several days without it going dead. ... show more

  • The best smartwatch you can buy for the price.
Nothing can explain about this product than best value for money. You can literally do everything the product markets to you about and also has a premium finish to it. I really love the BPM and the sleep monitor features of the app. The battery lasts for atleast a day before you put it to charge and has a good standby time. The SE is a good buy for new entrants into the smartwatch market. Overall a good value for the price and Amazon as usual was amazing in its delivery and packaging. ... show more

  • Good Smart Watch!
So far I am enjoying my Apple Watch purchase! It does what I need it to, and having a small computer on my wrist does make checking messages or reminders or calendar dates is very convenient. I took off one star because this does not come with a charging block.
