I’m a Capsule 2 user since 2019. The Capsule 2 is good, but not great for daytime-use especially in the bigger family room with large windows due to the limited brightness and resolution. This Cosmos Max caught my eye because of its design and 4K specs. Pros: 1. The design and built quality is great. Love the starlight top panel design. 2. The 4K image quality is bright and clear, good enough to use during the day in the family room. 3. The Android TV OS is easy to use. I use Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video a lot and work perfectly so far. 4. The sound quality of the built-in speaker is great and loud, bass is very powerful. Looks like it supports Dolby digital plus. Cons: 1. So far not much to complain, but for this price, I do hope this is a ultra short throw projector so I can put it in front of the wall. 2. This projector is quiet, but not as quiet as my low er brightness & res Capsule, understood the 2500 lm generates much more heat. Other options like laser projectors on the market are too pricey 3. The Netflix and Prime video needs to be installed via the Nebula Manager app, it is very easy to install so I'm fine with it. Overall, a great smart 4K projector to try. ... show more

Edit: it’s been 3 years since I got a replacement one and it’s been amazing so far! ———— I loved this projector….when it worked. The picture quality is amazing no matter how big it gets! The 3D audio, while not groundbreaking, is amazing for the price point. After setting up and turning it off I put it away for a few days because I went on a trip. Upon returning I excitedly removed it from its safe hiding spot in my closet, plugged it in, pressed the power button for 2 seconds, then 5 seconds, then 30 seconds and it wouldn’t turn on. Tried a different outlet where my phone was charging and the blue light on the power brick was on, held the power button for another 30 seconds and it still wouldn’t turn on. I got a defective unit it seems :( I only had it for literally 4 days before it decided not to turn on. Luckily Amazon is sending a replacement and I’ll update my rating if it works more than one time. ... show more

Pro - clear image when paired with 4K setting, can be set in corner of the room and projected at an angle and adjusted so it looks like it was projected straight on, audio is much better than other projector. Can play games with no lag, and is good enough to use without a projector screen. Meh - Fan noise is noticeable, not obnoxiously loud but I do wish it was softer. It has a setting to adjust color against other walls, but the black could be darker. May need gray/black projector screen to see better results during use in daytime. Bad - Running Netflix on this is horribly inconvenient, requires you to download app to use netflix. Uncertain how to change the light bulb, although it should have 10 years of projection time. I use it as my computer screen to play games and stream videos. Although the projector is on pricey side, the portability, and projection sharpness at 120 -150 inch is one of the best I've seen. The only thing prevent me from giving it a 5 star is the Netflix issue. ... show more

    • Would not focus out of the box
Bought this projector thinking it would be a good fit for our needs, first projector TV we have purchased. Great packaging. Everything looks high quality, get the directions out of the box and they are horrible. Pictures with limited instruction. We plug in, Mount to ceiling, turn it on. Everything is blurry, cannot mam out anything on the screen, auto focus did not work, manual focus did not work. Instruction say use the right and left arrows on the remote to adjust focus, only the left and down arrow buttons managed to get the screen to even attempt to respond. Spent over an hour trying to troubleshoot, nothing, reset, did Everything we would think of. Called AMZ explained the situation and they recommended returning the projector. Now, $1000 later, waiting for them to receive the return to process the refund so we can purchase another projector. So, this process has now turned into a 5-10 day process before we are able to select and purchase replacement projector. Very disappointed as we had high hopes for this to be a great purchase for our family. ... show more

Bought it as a Thanksgiving gift for my husband. Perfect resolution when projecting to my wall, look even clearer than my 4K TV. Pros: 1. Easy to setup. Although it is said that it is an "Android TV", but I can easily connect it to my iOS then project iPhone video (e.g. from Youtube) to the whole wall ; 2. Perfect for kids. Since the resolution is pretty high (4k), my kids really enjoy it and I believe this high-resolution/large screen will be good for their eyes; 3. Internal speaker. This is a big plus for our home. I don't have a media room where can fit all speakers. The internal speaker from the projector brings fabulous sound and better HD quality compared with my current soundbar. Cons: 1. I think the only con could be a little pricey, a little bit over my budget. However, compared with the quality it brought to you, I am pretty satisfied with it and you should love what you paid for. ... show more

I rarely ever write reviews but this projector is just too awesome not to tell people about it. My husband is really handy so it was super easy for him to install. He had to run wire through the ceiling to add an outlet so if you’re not handy then you may need to hire a professional. Either way it’s absolutely worth it! The picture is amazing. It’s bright even with a window in the room. What impresses is the most though is the SOUND! Oh my goodness! It doesn’t have a ton of bass but for what it is the sound is great! We are so far super pleased with this projector and highly recommend! ... show more
