abunda_amazon_reviews This tripod is a great value if you're looking for a compact and lightweight tripod without compromising stability and functionality. I have multiple cameras for different purposes where this tripod was able to help me take professional alike photos and videos due to its ability to hold my camera gears very stable in various situations. I've used the tripod with a Canon 7D plus an EF 16-35mm f/2.8L lens, and this tripod holds the camera with lens very well without wobbly or made me feel insecure to have over two thousand dollars worth of camera gear to be in danger or possibly dropping them on the ground. I've also converted the tripod to a monopod and used it with my Dji Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal to take and make cinematic videos. It is like having two gears for the price of one since a well-built monopod would cost as much as the cost of the price I paid for this convertible (multi-functional) tripod. I also love the weight of this tripod as it was easy to carry around when I was walking around in downtown San Diego, plus the provided pouch was very sturdy and well-made too. In addition to DSLR and Gimbal, I've also used the monopod to take interesting videos with my Gopro 7. There are many tutorials on youtube that teaches you different photography tricks you can do with a monopod + tripod. I'm in love with this excellent product and so glad I've bought it at such a great price!;;Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Lightweight yet very stable and versatile - takes cinematic videos with a gimbal + monopod;;Kevin Lin;;;I own a few lower end tripods and Im in the market for monopod. The premium ones are over my budget. I searched, compared and watch videos. I still not sure hybrid tripod if is really what I want, but the price is right. This tripod does have some weight and feels sturdy. The bag for the tripod is padded, comes with a pouch and a clear badge holder. Inside it has L wrench to tweak the tripod for up side down use, I guess. The transformation from tripod in to monopod isnt hard (picture included). removed the color marked pole and there it is. During the first use, the tripod is not tall enough for me, later I discovered there is addition spot to make it max height. Im a 5'10", I barely have to bend wide to see the camera screen. I have tried to push the tripod at its max height. I doest balance itself very well. The quick release from tripod to camera is not as quick tho. I did find not user friendly for me. They could include few extra quick release plate, so sell extra quick release plate for users have multiple camera or multiple use. Liu;;;Pros (Lots of Pros): The Q-555 tripod calls itself a "professional, portable" tripod... I knew better than to assume the hype as accurate without first gambling on the purchase. It's too easy to slap the "professional" moniker onto some very low-budget, consumer-grade equipment. The sub $100 price and the mostly positive reviews made me want to gamble on the Q-555. Incidentally, I've bought scores of name-brand audio/video equipment on Amazon, B&H, Calumet, Adorama and the list goes on. While I love deals (and admittedly love name brands), it really comes down to equipment that's ultimately functional, no matter how high or low the price. Turns out the Q-555 is such a tripod... that is to say functional in a big way, while also being a straight-from-China, no-name, inexpensive tripod. After using it now for a few days it's fair to say the hype here is accurate as both "professional" and "portable." It delivers! The materials are quality aluminum alloy mixed with the usual metal and plastic parts. It's light, sturdy and best of all very functional. I have many tripods from Manfrotto, Davis & Sanford, Cartoni and even higher-end Oconnor legs. So, when I say I was surprised by the quality of the AFAITH Q-555, I have many expensive products to compare it to. A great comparison for this particular light-duty, light-weight Q-555 model would be with the Manfrotto "Befree" tripod. The Manfrotto is twice the price, does not have the removable leg for the monopod conversion, and is bigger making it slightly less portable. The only really comparable tripod I've seen to the Q-555 is the Benro Aero 2 which includes the Benro S2 video head for around $200. I considered the Benro Aero 2 which also converts to a monopod. Coincidentally, I ended up replacing the ball head (which is great if you're a photographer) with the Benro S2 video head. The Q-555 paired wth the Benro head is both a pro-looking and pro-functioning tripod, albeit a light-duty setup. I'm using this as a pro-level travel tripod/head for use with either my Note 4 smartphone (yes, I shoot tons of on-the-fly HD video with my Samsung Note 4) and with my lighter DSLR cameras like my T5i and my GH2. All in all I couldn't be happier with the Q-555. I've got a monopod, grounder tripod, table-top tripod and standard tripod all in one! With the Benro head setup, it looks right at home next to my far more expensive equipment... equipment that while great, is anything but portable. Minor Cons: The only minor cons I can come up with on this tripod are with the choice of locking mechanisms where the legs pivot into position. They are a metal alloy but they don't really "click" into place. They push into place and they seem to have two locking points that engage with a sort of dampened spongy feel (not tight). Because I'd never use this for heavier cameras, I don't see this as a negative. For about $40 more in retrospect, I may have opted for the Benro Aero 2 that comes with the S2 head that I ended up with in my final setup. But even then at $199 it would have been a little more money and slightly less compact in its collapsed carrying position, compared to the Q-555/Benro S2 version I ended up with.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2015;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;A fabulous portable tripod that delivers pro functionality.;;Mark J - Professional Appreciator;;;Needed a light weight tripod for a recent trip, so I searched through hundreds of Amazon listings and found this little gem. I took a chance picking this one based on its competitive price, positive reviews, and just the overall look. Glad to share that the choice landed me a great tool which will go with me to many more future trips. Even though it's light, the construction is solid without noticeable slops. The legs articulates smoothly and held in place with confidence, even when I tested with my heavy Canon 5D. The rubber feet are of high quality material and does not clip on concrete or wood floor. One of the leg can be detached to become a monopod, which proved valuable on my trip when tripods weren't allowed. The quick release mount is well made, and compatible with my other ARCA plates on my Sony and Canon cameras. Overall this is a hight quality tripod comparable to others costing much more. A good value for my budget!;;Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent light weight travel companion;;Chillax

But even then at $199 it would have been a little more money and slightly less compact in its collapsed carrying position, compared to the Q-555/Benro S2 version I ended up with.

Excellent light weight travel companion
Needed a light weight tripod for a recent trip, so I searched through hundreds of Amazon listings and found this little gem. A good value for my budget!
